The official twitter account for the @NIHRresearch funded programme TACK (adapting DIALOG+ for chronic depression). Led by @QMULSocialPsych & @NHS_ELFT.
Today @ENMESHmental Conference Phil & Agnes from the @TACK_Study & @study_scene, respectively, were joined by colleagues from City University to host a symposium discussing resource orientation in mental health care. Great session with some great questions from the audience
Many interesting findings contained within the paper but perhaps the most novel (and relatively unexpected) is that those with anxiety disorders had the widest range of SQoL scores & reported lower satisfaction in most domains. This warrants more research #anxiety
NEW ARTICLE: Lauren Jerome & colleagues from the @TACK_Study have just published an individual patient data meta-analysis of 5329 P's with psychosis, depression and anxiety, analysing scores of SQoL (on the MANSA) https://t.co/Rerk8cYn29
Today was our final Lived Experience Advisory Panel (LEAP) meeting- the 17th overall. The TACK study would not have been the same without the insight, efforts and advice of all the experts by experience who have contributed so much over the past 6 years #ppi@QMULSocialPsych
Poster sessions are in full swing! @QMULSocialPsych Lauren is presenting their recent research: A conceptual literature review and narrative synthesis #UKASFPconf23
PhD student Lauren Jerome presenting on her work on solution-focussed therapy by text message for young people who self harm today at the ‘Wellbeing and Emotions in Primary Schools' teachers conference at the Atkin centre #Teachappy@TKATAcademies@childrensociety@Michael_cdps
📣Check out this new publication! Written in collaboration with people with lived experience, three research programs linked to the Unit (SCENE @study_scene, TACK @TACK_Study and OPAL), discuss their different strategies and reflections on involvement
A new publication from some researchers on the TACK team- a useful conceptual framework of solution focused approaches (including DIALOG+) used in adult mental health research. Check it out below
NEW PAPER: Lauren Jerome & colleagues have published a conceptual review of solution focused approaches in adult mental health research. Despite 50 years of development these approaches have remained remarkably consistent & coherent https://t.co/DmA31uvUoC
The TACK trial has been a huge undertaking to see if DIALOG+ is both clinically- and cost-effective for the treatment of chronic depression. And in a few months time, after data cleaning & analysis, we will have some answers
After 44 long months of recruitment, assessments, staff training, intervention delivery, fidelity testing, qualitative interviewing, data entry & follow ups (including a 7 month suspension of activities due to COVID) the TACK team collected their final trial data today!!
Massive thanks to all the service users and clinicians who trusted us with their data. And so much gratitude to all the researchers who have contributed to the study in some way across the 9 trial sites.
This is only the start of a special international collaboration that will enable more meaningful involvement in research & intervention development for these studies (and hopefully many more) #coproduction#ppi#involvement#dialogplus
A very special day for the experts by experience on the TACK Lived Experience Advisory Panel (LEAP)! For the first time we were able to share experiences of involvement & co-production with other experts by experience in India & Pakistan who are involved in a DIALOG+ study
Brilliant session at #RcpsychWASP23 by @study_scene and @TACK_Study about how well experts by experience and researchers can work together to get great results
Great to present all the excellent co-production activities the TACK Team have completed over the last few years. Still plenty to do with the TACK Lived Experience Advisory Panel (LEAP) - but also good to reflect on what we have achieved so far
Today at #RCPsychWASP23 some researchers from the Unit & experts by experience presented a symposium on developing & testing interventions through patient & carer involvement. Great to hear both sides of PPI in mental health research
Today was the USCP’s annual Christmas Quiz & Christmas jumper day. The first one in person for a while. Congrats to winners “The TACK-y Crackers” from @TACK_Study who won and many thanks to @VickyBirdie for once again finding the hardest Christmas questions
