PhD student @HarperAdamsUni working on the use of plant trait-based research to develop annual field margins as part of @H2020Cropdiva. Views are my own.
Do you use or promote non-cropped field margins or strips on arable land? Do you think annual plant communities could be used effectively in these? We would love to hear your thoughts. Please follow the link below:

Still looking for thoughts on annual communities to offer ecosystem services in farmland! We would love to hear any and all thoughts and please RT if you can.

Last week marked the final sampling of my #phd project! It’s been a mad journey so far and I can’t believe it’s been 3 years already! Time does fly when you’re having fun!
Now to do this project justice with the writing!

We’ve made it to sunny Kyoto ready for @ice2024kyoto_jp !
Such a beautiful city! A tad warmer than the UK… 🥵 We’ve only dipped our toe in to exploring, but couldn’t be more grateful for such an incredible opportunity.

There are still a few places left on our FREE evidence synthesis course in Exeter in June. Course fees, accommodation & travel is all funded. #EvidenceSynthesis
Fully funded PhD opportunity available. One week left to apply for these #agroecology opportunities.
Alternative forage for #biodiversity & animal health, strip cropping & autonomous vehicles, or using waste wool in #soil

I admit that the more I proceed with this study the more I'm getting passionate about that. Love it! :)
This third year of mixed inter cropping started better than the others, despite the late sowing.
Plants are doing well, so far so good!

I’ve been accepted to present my research at ICE2024 in Kyoto! 😱
Despite generous support we are still looking for organisation(s) to make this opportunity a reality.
Are you keen to financially support a budding PhD researcher in realising their dreams? Please drop me a DM!
Lovely afternoon celebrating the scholars of @HarperAdamsUni !
Incredibly grateful to be awarded The @Rabobank Postgraduate Scholarship - contributing towards to cost of attending and presenting my research at the XXVII International Congress of Entomology in Kyoto in August! 🥳
After waiting for the rain to stop and the trial area to dry out enough before the next rain fell, I have finally sown the final trial of my PhD! @NicolaPRandall@DrJohnReade@H2020Cropdiva thank you to all the other students that helped to sow the trial today!
I'm looking to chat with those rearing dairy billy kids for meat in the UK for a possible research project. Currently only the idea stage but very interested in those rearing using pasture & possibly waste milk!
Any ideas/ chats/ interest around this topic appreciated - DM me!
Not sure that a game of lacewing larvae hide and seek is the normal way to spend your birthday… but what else would you expect from a @HAU_Entomology student? 😂🥳
