For the first time since June 1957, Manor Heath Park will stand empty on the Second Saturday of June.
Our volunteer committee continues to meet regularly; we hope to deliver an opportunity for our members to raise awareness & funds later this year!

Chairperson Lee Gething has been involved since 1992 as a Cub @UKScouting! He joined the Committee at 23 and has since been supporting everyone by email, phone & meetings. Now 36 he's spending the day staying alert at home, but missing the feeling of mud! #HxGala2020

Charity Liaison Officer, Sarah Hudson, 36, started volunteering 5 years ago as an Equipment Officer & joined the Committee 2 years ago. She feels the postponement of #HxGala2020 is a blow for member organisations & hopes we'll be back up and running as soon as it's safe to do so!

Jackie Homes, 30, has been attending Committee meetings for over a year. She has a learning disability, but loves to help at the Gala and Halifax Spooktacular. She's missing everybody being so nice and being able to help our member organisations.

We hae enjoyed our first sleep in on the second Saturday in June for 15 years. 🙂
