Its been a quiet no of days but the chance of storms increases during this weekend particularly late Sunday as a front and low pressure system influence our weather. At this stage any district may get storms although Northern and Western districts look more likely. Stay tuned.
Very hot and potentially record breaking temperatures expected over central and Southern Tasmania.
The atmosphere may be unstable enough on Sunday for some isolated thunderstorms.
Total fire bans and extreme fire danger are in place take care.
The front is currently crossing the State. Some reasonable rain in the West. No thunderstorm activity. It is still possible as the airmass is reasonably warm, more likely now in the East. We shall see. Any storms that may develope will be fairly weak.
Humidity levels are falling in Hobart. North West winds established. It is looking less likely for storms now except possibly East Coast.
Prognosis still suggests more then 100mm for West Coast coming 5 days. It will definately help the fire situation.
