A loose translation:
I grieve that I have no wings to cross a thousand miles, to pass over mountains and reach an old friend in distress.
The roads are perilous, and every attempt is forced back; who, at last, can carry him even a single message of hope?
It is heartbreaking to see a man of integrity abandoned, while war, violence, and injustice engulf the world.
In this land of magnificent mountains and rivers, the righteous are driven to the end, and I can only weep in mourning for those who came before us.
(Originally written by Guo Yushan in 2011 and dedicated to the blind lawyer Chen Guangcheng, after his release from prison into extralegal house arrest. Copied on the birthday of Tara Zhang Yadi.)
