@gtbank @gtbank_help

I got this message from @dafidimimo whom I introduced to your fund management team because I also have a fund manager with you.
I assured him you are responsive and responsible and can be trusted.

Please don’t make a liar out of me.

I got this report @dafidimimo earlier today:

So we we credited our GTFunds account 0000123695
on the 13th of August with the sum of Ten million Naira #10,000,000 through GT Squad but it still hasn’t reflected until date.

We gave it a week in case it would drop but unfortunately hasn’t until this moment.

It’s been 6 weeks since we have been shouting. Didn’t get a single response until I wrote them yesterday that they should be ready to trend today.

Dear @gtbank are you sure this is a Friday Night Fight you want to jump into?

If you don’t attend to this issue and sort it out right away, the way I will move all the funds we have have with you within the next few hours will shock you.

Before noon, I want this case resolved and a letter of apology written to @dafidimimo.

Thank you

A 12 year old boy walks into my office having already seen a psychiatrist, an allergist, a lung doctor, maybe a GI doctor. Seven different drugs by age 12. Kicked out of kindergarten for being disruptive. Diagnosed with ADHD and put on stimulant medication for years.

Nobody connected the dots. He also had asthma, headaches, stomachaches, insomnia. Each doctor treated their one piece and ignored the rest.

I did a full workup instead of writing another prescription. His gut microbiome was a mess. Leaky gut. Elevated gluten antibodies. Reacting to dairy. Fungal overgrowth. Low zinc, low magnesium, low B6, low folate, low omega 3s. Lead toxicity.

He ate only processed food. Never a vegetable in his life.

So we removed the gluten, dairy, sugar and processed food. Rebuilt his microbiome with probiotics. Treated the fungal overgrowth. Chelated the lead. Corrected the nutrient deficiencies with magnesium, zinc, fish oil.

Two months later his mother brought him back. No more symptoms. No more meds. No more behavioral issues.

And his handwriting went from illegible to perfect penmanship. Same kid, same brain, two months apart.

That handwriting change is what made me write The UltraMind Solution. A brain that chaotic and disorganized became coherent and synchronized once we fixed what was happening in his body. The writing on the page was just a reflection of what was happening in his gut.

ADHD is not a brain problem. It's a systemic problem that shows up in the brain. If your kid's brain isn't working right, don't just look north of the neck. Look at what's happening south of the border first.

There is a prayer in Ruth 3:18 that has settled deeply in my heart:

"Wait, my daughter, until you learn how the matter turns out, for the man will not rest until he has settled the matter."

Today, this is my prayer:

Lord, for every matter concerning my life and destiny, let every man and woman You have chosen, appointed, and touched to help me not rest until it is settled for my good and in my favor according to Your perfect will. Let no divine connection miss me, let no opportunity You have prepared pass me by, and let no delay stop what You have ordained for my life. Raise helpers, destiny connectors, mentors, advocates, and voices that will speak on my behalf where I cannot speak for myself. Let those You have assigned to open doors, recommend me, encourage me, support me, and bless me find no rest until they have fulfilled the assignment You have placed in their hearts concerning me.

Father, I also pray for the grace to wait. Teach me to trust You when I cannot see what You are doing. Help me to remain faithful when answers seem delayed, to be patient when the process is difficult, and to believe that Your timing is always better than my own. Guard my heart from anxiety, comparison, discouragement, and fear. Replace every worry with peace and every doubt with unwavering faith in Your promises.

May every delay become preparation, every closed door become divine protection, and every season of waiting become a testimony of Your faithfulness. Let Your favor go before me, Your mercy surround me, and Your hand direct every step I take. May everything You have spoken concerning my life come to pass at the appointed time, and may I never miss what You have prepared for me because of impatience or unbelief.

Lord, settle every matter concerning my family, my purpose, my career, my ministry, my relationships, my health, and my future. Let Your will be established in every area of my life. And when it is all said and done, may all the glory, honor, and praise belong to You alone.

Amen. 🤍

God walked me out of a tech trap today. Last year, my guy asked me to design the entire branding and UI/UX for his fintech startup. "Bro, we are co-founders, salary will kick in after our pre-seed round." I worked day and night for 8 months. No sleep.

Fast forward to yesterday. I saw a TechCabal article announcing they raised $1.2M in pre-seed. I was grinning, waiting for my email. Nothing. I went to the office they just rented in Lekki Phase 1. The security guy asked for my appointment letter. I laughed.

I called my "co-founder." He came down, looked me in the eye and said: "Bro, the investors demanded a restructured cap table. We had to drop non-essential roles. But I can give you ₦250k for your troubles." ₦250k for an entire ecosystem layout? Fear men.

I forgot to mention that I host the entire Figma project on my personal account, and the developer was using my live tokens. I walked to a cafe, opened my laptop, and deleted the entire master file. The app went completely blank mid-demo with their board members.

He’s been blowing up my phone since 6 AM, crying. His investors are threatening to pull the funding for breach of contract. He sent his pastor to beg me. Please have the equity document signed by noon; otherwise, they'll discard the source code. Premium tears.

In 1988 Dolly Parton pulled every 7th and 8th grader in Sevier County into a room and told them to pick a buddy.

She made them sign a contract.. if BOTH graduate, she hands you both $500. One fails, nobody gets paid.

The county dropout rate went from 35% to 6%.

She handed out the checks herself.

In 1989 she offered $500 to every kid in the county who wanted to go to the local college.

When Gatlinburg burned in 2016, she sent 900 families $1,000 a month for six months.

You've probably heard that part.

Here's the part you haven't:

The fund raised more than expected, so she showed up in May and handed every one of those families another $5,000 on top.

Then she quietly put $3 million into the recovery group that handles the years after the news trucks leave.

She built her county an entire hospital.

She played a benefit concert in 2007, Dollywood and the Stampede matched it, and LeConte Medical Center opened in 2010 with a birthing unit and a women's center in it.

In 2022 she started covering 100% of tuition, books, and fees for Dollywood employees.

Full-time, part-time, AND seasonal.

In 1991 she paid for a bald eagle sanctuary because the birds couldn't be released back into the wild, no press release.

And when Hurricane Helene came through here in Western North Carolina, she wrote a personal check for $1 million and her companies matched it.

She didn't owe North Carolina anything, but she helped us anyway.

She started the Imagination Library because her daddy couldn't read or write. Before he passed, he told her it was the most important thing she ever did.

Rest in Peace, Dolly 🇺🇸

This man is obviously happy with the decision he made and it appears to be working for him.

My question is if his family objected when he 26, what is the point of still objecting at 44 - 18 years later? When do you stop and say, his choice is working for him we have to respect that?

Let's even agree that they were right to object when he was 26. Why are they still fighting her 18 years later? Why are they unable to look at him and say she makes him happy, so let's be happy for him?

[Ifeoluwa @withifeoluwa]

The first welcome I received in my shared house three years ago in the UK was when someone stole my jollof rice… and even helped themselves to fish and turkey from different bowls. Funny enough, I knew who it was, so I reported it to my landlord.

Do you know what this man told me?

“Don’t be too angry. Be happy you fed someone who was hungry. Your reward is in heaven.” I just looked at him and laughed, emi ika

So the next time I wanted to cook jollof rice, the thief entered the kitchen while I was cooking so I asked, “Do you mind jollof rice?” The remaining statement stayed in my head:

”…before you steal another plate🙄”

She said she doesn’t eat Nigerian food.
Me in my head: “don’t sha steal my rice”(mind you, She was Ghanaian.)
I cooked my rice, packed it into seven takeaway packs, and kept them in the fridge… i woke up the next morning…

Two packs had disappeared. Along with 3 pcs of big chicken…. That day, I didn’t report anybody.
I entered everybody’s section of the fridge and carried food. Milk. Snacks. Indian food I don’t even eat. Everything I saw..
One lady had just ordered Turkish food. She was microwaving it, went to have a shower.. I picked it up too entered my room, ate part of it, dusted my bed and slept peacefully.

My phone was vibrating nonstop. The house group chat was on fire.

“Who took my food?”

“Where’s my milk?”

“Who took my snacks?”

My landlord later messaged me privately to ask if I knew anything about it.

I told him, “They should be grateful they fed an orphan. Isn’t the reward in heaven?” Three days later, he installed CCTV in the kitchen. That’s how we all stopped feeding the orphanage.

My landlord will never forget me.

[Gbenga Samuel-Wemimo @GbengaWemimo]

Your husband was pursuing a business with some oil and gas companies in Nigeria for eight years without making any headway.
He is an engineer, and he had come up with a particular design as an alternative to one of the tools used in crude oil mining.
The idea was good, but people were used to what they already had and were unwilling to pioneer change or try something new

Yet your husband was determined to push his idea until someone bought it.
Out of desperation, your husband called an old friend in Scotland
This friend was his lecturer at one point during his studies abroad
The friend sent him a ticket and invited him over to the UK for a discussion on the idea

Your husband travelled to the UK for a month, but he came back home empty-handed
The friend loved the idea but could only promise to talk to one or two people and see what would pan out
Your husband returned home, praying he would get a call back from his friend

Four months of silence went by
Four months of prayer
You have gone to many pastors and prophets to pray
The message you received has been consistent
Your husband's idea would not sell, nothing would come out of all his struggles
It would be best for him to find a job teaching in secondary school or lecturing in the university instead of pushing a dead dream

You told your husband this
He listened, but he kept his fingers crossed
Suddenly, his friend called him and told him he would have to come to the UK for a very important meeting with some investors who liked the idea and would like to partner in manufacturing the design, patenting it and launching it into the market
You ran to your prophet to share the good news
Your prophet told you, "Your husband didn't have any breakthrough. If he travelled, he would not be returning because he was going to be with a woman. A wife he married in the UK in secret, or a concubine, or a side chick, but it is not for work"

You went home with this sad news
Your husband denied it and became very defensive because you were determined not to allow him to travel
You called his father and his mother and friends; you did everything to dissuade him from travelling
When he saw you wouldn't listen to reason, he picked his passport and left for the UK
You felt betrayed that he refused to listen to you
You felt betrayed that he left without your blessing
A week after he left, you packed the children, and you abandoned your matrimonial home
A week after you left, you sent a court summons to your own home, inviting your husband to court to discuss separation and custody of the children

Your husband secured a multimillion-dollar deal
He returned to Nigeria to deal with the mess you have left behind
When you saw that you were wrong and he came home rich, you should eat the humble pie, apologise and return to your marriage
You went back to the prophet, and the prophet told you that the money your husband now has is blood money, and it is your destiny he will be using to service the money if you returned to the marriage

The prophet told you that if you don't return to the marriage and if you refuse your husband access to the children for one year, your husband would die, as there would be nobody to use to service his blood money.
For this reason, you made it very difficult for your husband to access the children for a year.
Eventually, a year went by, and your husband was very much alive
The court awarded him joint custody of the children
You began to suggest that you would like to accompany the children to his house for their visitation times.

Your husband then played a joker and introduced his new girlfriend, even though you both were not legally divorced yet
At that point, you went berserk
How dare he move on with another woman?
Why couldn't he beg you or explain to you properly or wait for you to come to your senses?
How dare he bring another woman into the new house he just bought
You were the one who suffered, the one who had the children for him and the one who was there when things were difficult
This other woman just came in to profit off your years of labour

You began to call friends and family members to beg on your behalf
You began to say it was the devil
You were misled
You were deceived
But that ship has sailed...

Aunty, there is no need to fight destiny
It is your lot to sow and never to reap
Just accept this and move on...

My two cents.
