🌿 Rezaire explains the origin of the ‘carbet’, an architectural structure that houses the work ‘Des/Astres’, located in the centre of the exhibition itinerary.
This construction, traditionally made of wood and with a palm leaf roof, is native to French Guiana.
#Tabita Universe is expanding.✨🌌
🛖 The ‘carbet’ is one of the key elements of the exhibition ‘Calabash Nebula'. Tabita Rezaire delves into this concept so that visitors can completely enjoy the immersive exhibition. You can visit it at the @museothyssen until 12 January
Before, the work was shown at Ocean Space, our space in Venice 🛶.
🎶 The installation uses a poetic approach to combine visual and sound arts. In its activations, the sculptures function as musical instruments that generate environmental and aquatic sounds.
🌙 ‘Lunar Assembly for Uprising Seas'
🥚 by Petrit Halilaj and Álvaro Urbano

We invite you to visit it at @MACBA_Barcelona until January, 12.
🌊 This work is part of the results of the artists' participation in the curatorial fellowship program “The Current III”, curated in this third edition by Barbara Casavecchia and focused on the Mediterranean Sea.

This spectral image forms the base of Rose's painting, accentuating the tension between melancholic blackness and ‘verdigris’, a colour associated with slow and unavoidable decline.
Rose cries for the earth and nature itself.

Pitch Black Verdigris Green
by Rachel Rose
‘The Ecologies of Peace II’ at @c3a_andalucia
In this work the artist uses black pigment and ‘verdigris’ to create an atmosphere that is disturbing and meditative, referring to humanity's obsession with night and darkness.
The blackness of the workbecomes a space of revelation where signs of disaster, transformation and sacred mysteries emerge.
Based on historical references, Rose begins by digitally manipulating a photograph of Ferdinand Keller's painting ‘Böcklin's Tomb’.

💡In the same line, Ferré underlines that what is important is not what art is for, but what art does for us
Art and culture have the power to create meaning, provide context and foster empathy, all of which are essential to transform knowledge into action
