Vadodara - A woman and her daughter fell into a rain-filled pothole on Jashpur Road in Padra, Vadodara district, after heavy rain left the stretch waterlogged. CCTV footage of the incident has come to light. The pit was hidden under standing rainwater, making it difficult to spot. Both slipped into the water-filled depression. Local residents rushed to the spot and pulled the woman and her daughter out to safety.

Akola, Maharashtra - A shocking incident in Jamvasu village of Barshitakli taluka in Akola district on Friday left a 75-year-old woman dead and two to three others seriously injured after a Bolero pickup was allegedly driven over a house repeatedly amid a land dispute. According to preliminary information, the vehicle was driven onto the four to five times. The deceased has been identified as Sonabai Makharam Jadhav, 75, who was inside the house at the time. The house suffered extensive damage, and the incident created an atmosphere of fear in the locality.

Two months after 21-year-old law student Amrutha was stabbed in Bengaluru, CCTV footage of the attack has surfaced.

Police say Amrutha was attacked from behind on July 13, after she ended her relationship with Dhanush. She had reportedly withdrawn after learning that he had been married, divorced and had a child — facts police say he had allegedly hidden from her.

Police allege Dhanush’s younger brother Surya attacked Amrutha as she was heading to work at a pizza outlet. She died in hospital on July 15.

Surya and Dhanush have been arrested, while investigators are also examining a reported money dispute and other possible angles.

What the CCTV shows is now at the centre of the investigation.

Investigators are also examining a reported money dispute. The family says she was targeted for rejecting Dhanush. Officers said they were looking at all angles.
