With this new decided narrative I have, I need to implement the other members of the squad in a new way. They'll get brand new introductions, vastly different from originally planned. I'm a little sad to see some stuff I came up with go, but it must be done #WritingCommunity

I'm writing the villains to be more heavily involved, pulling strings in the shadows to strike against each other. The two main villains are enemies who'll have their uses for lesser villain underlings and even the main characters. Be back once it's perfect! #WritingCommunity

Currently working on a prompt that has to include speculative elements. Fantasy and horror is what I'm going for. But, I think that those two genres often go hand in hand. I mean, how many monsters with supernatural abilities are in the horror genre? #WritingCommunity #amwriting

Drafting the single POV has left me a little stuck, but I honestly think I like it. I'm thinking of ways to work the cut POV's into the story as a backstory reading or something, though that won't come in this book. I'll explore my options further for now. #WritingCommunity

Since I was so set on using multiple POV's beginning, using only one is a whole new plate. I am finding it quite easily, though removing some of the other POV's removes some of the character building. It adds more room for intrigue on the other hand. #WritingCommunity #amwriting

Got to work refining the backstories of not just the main characters and villains, but some of the lesser characters too. Though their involvement in the overall story will be shorter, but still significant. They deserve that kind of respect. #WritingCommunity #writersoftwitter

Currently writing a piece of prose using Vladamir Propp's schema. It's interesting that his actants and functions cover basically every major story beat and how much we #writerscommunity subconsciously use them. They're fun to meddle with or subvert. #WritingCommunity #amwriting

Villains are a bit of a shaky subject when it comes to writing them for me. Choosing which villains to give sympathetic qualities, deciding their role in the story and its size is certainly as much of a challenge as writing good heroes. #WritingCommunity #writerscommunity

Feels like I don't see a lot of technology in fantasy. It's all medieval. There's dragons, magic, a bunch of other races and monsters, but it almost seems like a phone or a car or an aircraft is out of the question. Wonder if that'll ever change. #WritingCommunity #amwriting

Huge overhauls of more ideas this week. Changed backstories slightly and drastically, tweaked motives and stuff. Still the same characters at heart, just taken some more consideration with them. It's going well. #writerscommunity #writing #amwriting

Seen writing advice that you should avoid cliches at all costs. I don't think it's necessarily bad, but if you have something good that fits a cliché, keep it anyway. If it works and you can make something good out of it, it being cliché shouldn't matter. #WritingCommunity
