@fromthe_topdeck Considering Dale and Budarick are the only ones who can kick back there, you think they’d try to get it into their hands at every opportunity - yet they consistently burn them. Honestly, just give it to Dale everytime, he’s the only one who’s rocked up tonight.
@fromthe_topdeck I love what Ads did for us when he came to the Dogs but surely we’ve moved passed him this year? Would rather get game time into Jacques, reckon Treloar should have gone out for Weightman.
@wbulldogsnews9@leoniew27@DannyB_4 It’s disappointing that Jaques and Budarick have suffered from form and injury in that time. Their ball use was really good the first month and took the pressure off Dale. He’s had to carry the offence from the back half the last month, doing a great job but needs more help.
@tatumfanclub@SC_Oracle I am a Bailey Dale truther but, he was consistently one of the dogs best in most of their losses as well, not a downhill skier like people think. Really good in losses against the pies, suns, hawks, crows, first game against freo and second game against brisbane.
@BrandonTongII @tom_davoren @Doggiesman To be fair, it's not the dog's fans saying Darc is the best player in the league, it's the media. And he's played 30 less games than Thilthorpe so you'd probably expect him to be a bit further ahead given he started a year earlier.
@AussieBenC@BulldogKing I thought Bailey Williams was that dour mid-sized defender but since 2021, he hasn't been able to do that, plus they play him on the wing now so. Cleary looks like a really solid defensively minded player, just needs to improve his decision making and kicking.
@AussieBenC@BulldogKing Zorko knows he can peel off and run freely because he's got Andrews, Gardner, Starcevich, etc... to cover for him if it gets passed him or turned over. Dogs don't have those types of players, need a dour key defender and mid-sized defender to sure up the defence.
@AussieBenC@BulldogKing Yeah, definitely feel that the defensive set-up needs to be tweaked. It's clear the high press doesn't stand up against teams with good ball use and leg speed, which is pretty much every top 8 team. For someone like Dale to do his thing, you need stingy defenders covering for him
@AussieBenC@BulldogKing There was so much space for Dale to run into as well, would have had a clean shot at goal. And then it was followed up seconds later by the infamous Daniel and Goliath moment. I love Gawny, but that was the softest thing he's ever done.
@MHJeffrey027@fromthe_topdeck While true, just felt in real time he was primed to float across and take an uncontested mark, don't need to worry about Amiss if he just made the ball his like he should have.
@BulldogKing@AussieBenC I've never rewatched this game, but you've convinced me to go back to this. Hannan just had to be more switched on there, gave the handball way too late. Also, I want to know exactly how far Tim English's kick went, because it had to be close to 15m.
