@WallStreetApes@SharylAttkisson And I bet many parents who buy their kids e-bikes are the types who will never let their kid play tackle football….because of the injury risk🤦♂️
@GatesGarciaFL@WSJ Schools (aka the facility owners) should only allow non-profit community based volunteer run youth sports programs to use the facilities - this would fix a lot of issues, not all but a lot.
@HustleBitch_ What do you think the maintenance/operating expense is for this….there are many people who could swing the low payment for this….but the operating cost would probably prevent them from buying
@drantbradley And ironically many of these types of parents look like they have never pursued any physical activity in their own entire lives…and I fully admit I should lose a few lbs too
@Simon_Ingari This is why you make them include retention bonuses as part of the counter… that explicitly state, they will pay out if you are laid off or let go for anything other than gross negligence.
@nerjiyullahi Being a youth sports coach who is complaining for calls when your team is up big (bball > 20 pts, FB > 21 etc…). Or the kind of coach who brings a select team to a rec league and acts like you’re Bob Knight / Nick Saban
@iCoachNash I run a youth football program in the Denton area, we’re looking at it fo K-6 but it’s hard to find somewhere for them to play, also curious if people think spring or fall would be the best time to do it?
@gregberge I coach youth FB, a kid playing DT…dropped into coverage (we don’t do that) got a pick….i told him good job for catching the ball but his assignment was to plug his gap not go into coverage…father confronts me and tells me he didn’t appreciate me saying that to his kid.
@Spread_Offense not controversial….you really want to go after youth sports: “anyone making money off of it as a coach or league leader is a huge part of the problem….all the “non profit” franchise operations with site directors making $200K/yr do nothing for kids or the sport”
@chris_parker222 I like seeing the “feeder team” on their, our HS program has an assigned coach that I coordinate with and it helps having a specific point of contact.
@MarmotRespecter a lot has to do with background prior to military….i was lucky most of my family are white collar professionals….i instinctively knew how to behave in corporate America (7yrs in USMC infantry) and have done well, but I’ve also seen what you’re referring to.
@CoachDThompson1 Can we add “Engage with the youth program” for teams that have that….it really helps to have a dedicated point of contact with the Varsity program
