And yet... that doesn't seem to be enough to secure even a teaching-stream role. Just so defeated. Tried to do everything "right", and I watch those that do the bare minimum be rewarded. *big sigh*
Another interview cycle down. Another year without securing a permanent role. It may be time to figure out another plan. Is post-secondary truly where I want to be? Any advice out there? I love teaching. I love engaging with students. I love developing, learning, and growing.
We just had a faculty meeting where we were asked to identify some of the biggest challenges facing higher ed and my institution. Number 1 on my list was "ourselves".
Well, it'll be another semester of a cornucopia of preps. Hopefully I can get a large amount done over the next few weeks to balance it out! Looking forward to three new courses for me to teach! The LD life is a lot though...
Wondering if any lovely #statisticians on here could recommend a text for me... below is the topic list for a second year stats for psych course. I would prefer open-source (online, freely available) but understand if that's not possible. We also teach them R. Thanks!
Not going to lie... I was very nervous teaching physics for the first time since teacher's college... But it seems as though I'm doing okay - at least from one st's perspective.
