Here's how I reframed my thinking to make creative work more enjoyable. 🧠
I told myself:
❌ I need to get things done.
✅ I get to help people solve problems.
Regardless if you are running your own business or working at a company, we are all problem solvers, and solving problems is where the real value and joy of work is at.
Btw I’m Shaun! I have a newsletter for creatives or brands that want to grow an organic audience.

I’ve scheduled posts the past couple of weeks here on X
3 posts a day consistently at 9am 12pm and 3pm. Every day.
The result?
It was horrible.
Little to no engagement.
Feels very inorganic.
I’m going back to real time posting here. Learning from my mistakes.
If you’d like to be friends sign up to my newsletter at https://t.co/AcV18WdgRp !
I’d love to connect with you in your inbox. We send helpful tips and advice on content creation weekly.
Be vulnerable.
A little brain vomit before I sleep: I’m not an expert.
I’m not an expert at videography.
I’m not an expert at video editing.
I’m not an expert in SEO.
I’m not an expert at copywriting.
I’m not an expert at running a business.

Having zero content ideas suck.
Reframing your ideation can help.
Change "content ideas" to "what should I talk about today?"
Speaking to your audience online should be like speaking to your friends.
Now start sharing and creating!
Make your TikToks and Reels stand out instantly by
• removing logos
• focusing on storytelling
• creating with your brand's WHY, not the WHAT
• focusing on people not the product
• spreading value for free
content ≠ ads
Stop making content look like ads.
Is it possible to grow on multiple platforms?
Yes it is
but don't copy and paste every post and share the same thing everywhere.
Different platforms require different strategies.
Do your research and don't stop experimenting.
The hardest part of content creation
• isn't ideation.
• isn't filming.
• isn't writing.
• isn't editing.
It's getting through the phase of posting for days, weeks, months, years even, without expecting anything or very little in return.
Don't obsess over investing in the stock market.
Invest in these instead:
• sleep
• books
• health
• yourself
• mistakes
• education
• your team
• sunscreen
• networking
• good habits
• experiences
• a good skincare routine
Agree to disagree.
You don't become a successful creator by making viral videos from the start.
You do it by
• creating consistently
• listening to your audience
• learning from your mistakes
• improving 1% along the way each day
Greatness comes from practice. Start creating today.
