Silence can be more expressive than words. Every quick reaction to an opponent's attack, every timely defensive adjustment, and every proactive block contributes to building a robust team defense.
This is a muffler for a gun. This is not a firearm, but the NFA (National Firearms Act) says it is. It does not make a firearm more dangerous or powerful. Most countries require silencers for noise reduction, why don’t we? The Great State of Texas has relaxed the rules on them, but that does not supersede federal law.
This bill needs to get out of committee and on the floor for a vote. Contact your federal Representatives and Senators and tell them to support this bill.
Introduced in Senate (02/14/2023) This bill removes silencers from the definition of firearms for purposes of the National Firearms Act. It also treats persons acquiring or possessing a firearm silencer as meeting any registration and licensing requirements of such Act.
