The crash killed the Cessna’s sole occupant, 57-year-old Dr. Paul William Sokoloski of Hershey, a Penn State Health emergency physician, while the two troopers aboard the helicopter sustained minor injuries and were rescued from the wreckage.

Pennsylvania State Police reported the helicopter was conducting routine low-hover training beside the runway when struck from behind; the FAA and NTSB are investigating the cause.

An 18-year-old in Aliquippa just tried to stomp a man to death in broad daylight.

Saturday afternoon, 300 block of Superior Avenue. Police find a man beaten so badly his head and face are destroyed. He goes into cardiac arrest. First responders do CPR. He’s flown to UPMC Presbyterian. Witnesses say the attacker slammed him to the ground and stomped his head.

Suspect: 18-year-old Chaunez Robinson. Charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and more. Sitting in Beaver County Jail.

Any animal who does this has already shown they are willing to end a life over nothing. Soft sentences and second chances don’t deter people who stomp heads until the heart stops.

Lock them up for life. No early release. No “he was young.” Protect the public from people who treat human skulls like pavement.

Josh Shapiro is sitting on his hands for a federal school choice tax credit that could put real money in the hands of Pennsylvania parents… and the only real reason left is politics.

The program costs the state nothing. It lets families direct private donations toward scholarships for private, religious, charter, or specialized schools. Other states are already in. The deadline is approaching. And Shapiro’s office is still “reviewing.”

When a free federal program that expands options for kids gets treated like a political game, it’s not about the kids.

Pennsylvania families need the governor to stop playing games and opt in.
