The Chicago Teachers Union contract overrides state law and allows Chicago schools to keep students’ gender identities secret from parents. It also permits anyone to use the bathroom or locker room matching their gender identity with no limits.

But when CPS CEO Macquline King testified under oath in Congress that schools do not hide this from parents, the Workers’ Rights Amendment the union pushed had already given their contract the power to override state law anyway.
