@MRSserves@USCCBJFI@WashArchdiocese So you needed political asylum but your upset it took you so long to go back???
If you truly needed asylum you would never want to go back.
Youโre just a disgrace to the priesthood and should be excommunicated.
The Catholic community undoubtedly requires significant improvement.
After guiding my family into the Catholic faith, we continue to attend a Protestant service following Mass each Sunday, primarily for the sense of community it provides. Despite participating in the same Mass for over a year, I know the names of fewer than five fellow attendees.
I have introduced myself to hundreds of individuals, yet I either never encounter them again or, when I do, they pass by my family as if we were strangers.
I firmly believe this stems from the numerous changes the Church has implemented. The Mass often feels like a series of mechanical actions devoid of spirit. Priests appear disengaged, as though they have more pressing matters, even though their roles have diminished considerably. Deacons, altar servers who are girls, and extraordinary ministers now handle most responsibilities. Reverence has largely been forsaken, supplanted by a superficial culture. This leads me to suspect that many participants may not truly believe in Christ or the Eucharist.
To foster unity, we must rekindle passion within our worship. We require Gregorian chant rather than performances by inexperienced teenagers. We need priests who proclaim the Gospel with enthusiasm, not lay readers lacking vitality. We must honor the Mass itself, avoiding lengthy appeals for donations that consume valuable time. We should surround ourselves with icons and genuine beauty, instead of stark modern walls and uninspired artwork. Incense and holy water ought to be integral, rather than absent.
Above all, we must restore respect for the Eucharist by reinstating altar rails and eliminating the reliance on extraordinary ministers while the priest remains seated.
I returned to Catholicism after a 20-year absence, seeking the fullness of Christ. Instead, I encountered a diluted version of the faith. I have vowed never to abandon Christโs Church again, and I will advocate tirelessly until my last day to revive what makes the Catholic Church truly great.
I earnestly implore the talented apologists at Catholic Answers to lend their expertise in restoring our Church. Your profound intellects must become more vocal in addressing the dilution of our sacred traditions and doctrines. Through your efforts, you have successfully drawn countless individuals to the Catholic faith, yet upon arrival, many experience profound disappointment in the diminished state of what they encounter, prompting a call for your guidance to reclaim its authentic vitality.
We cannot rebuild our community without first restoring the Church. No one unites around mediocrity.
Jesus took my son Joshua to heaven yesterday.
It was not expected and we still donโt know what happened.
Please pray for my family.
We are keeping the faith, but there is so much pain.
Praised be Jesus Christ, now and forever.
@LiturgyGuy Is this cause no one stayed to hear his message last week after mass ๐คฃ
I donโt think anyone in our diocese respects him. Heโs a typical politically motivated bishop that loves flirting with heresy.
@counseloftrent@jaydyer Jay is just doing the Lords work. Every time he does anything it just pushes people away from Orthodox and right to Catholicism.
@FEC0702@CatholicKingdo1 I wish my area had a TLM. The NO is just becoming disrespectful, it was much more reverent when I was a kid. Every year they make changes for the worse.
I need to find a new Church. I go to larger one that has 2500 registered families. The only confession window is 45 minutes on a Saturday afternoon.
Final straw was last Sunday when the priest took a seat while the extraordinary ministers passed out the Eucharist. Iโm not even hardcore traditional but itโs just starting to feel disrespectful. ๐ข
@CatholicKingdo1 Just discovered you recently. I really appreciate your music. Iโm a Catholic thatโs basically listened to nothing but rap music my whole life.
Itโs such a blessing I can enjoy it now without feeling like a hypocrite. Thank you brother, keep up the great work. ๐๐ป
@GPX_Press Hard to feel any pity for people with income properties when the average house price is 400k and the average 1st time home buyer is 40.
All tenants should just destroy these income properties. Make real estate a bad investment.
