Eight youths from @TEASAEverett recently attended @The84Movement’s Youth Power Summit in Worcester. More than 100 youth gathered for workshops about trends in the tobacco industry and mental health and participated in activities that inspired youth to be Community Champions.

@TEASAeverett, a CHA Youth Initiatives afterschool program for Everett HS students, celebrated after working to address vaping concerns in the community, volunteering at local events, & collectively contributing & earning 570 community service hours between January - June.

As part of @the84Movement, local students from @TEASAEverett, sponsored by CHA, celebrated Kick Butts Day Youth Day of Action at the Mass. State House, where they educated legislators about the tobacco industry’s targeting of youth, communities of color & LGBTQIA+ youth.

Teens from Youth Intitiative's afterschool program @TEASAeverett attended the @The84Movement Youth Power Summit as part of a statewide movement of youth fighting the tobacco industry. They attended workshops on prevention, advocacy and leadership.

CHA received a $500K grant from @cummingsdotcom $25 Million Grant Program, to be distributed over 10 years. The grant will create employment opportunities and career pathways for diverse youth and young adults. https://t.co/33e0IJLHwS

Our Youth Initiatives Team recently completed 2 programs: Revere Career Pathways Program (yellow), completed its pilot year with 10 Revere HS students. @TEASAeverett (blue), celebrated a successful year of education, advocacy & awareness substance use prevention.

Collaborating with Cambridge Health Alliance we were able to bring teens out to Fenway park to enjoy their first ever baseball game. It was a great time and they enjoyed watching the Red Sox get their win!

Last weekend, participants from CHA Community Health Improvement's Youth Initiatives, @TEASAeverett, braved the heat to volunteer at the Everett Cultural Council's Pop-Up Picnic. They distributed wellness kits and promoted the services at the Everett Teen Health Center.
