I wonder if the school had rules in place that prohibited the talk of "potty humor" that warranted this? It certainly was a huge misstep to fire the man over reading a book to the children.

@bellofthebooks I believe that children deserve to form their own opinions with some helpful guidance but bans completely block out information and content that they could use to expand their ideas on topics.

For some, the thought never occurs that the functions they use on a daily access are not available to everyone. Libraries make it their mission to be completely inclusive, and make every library accessible to everyone. The ALA website states this in the Library Bill of Rights.
