The Mustangs’ 2026 season wrapped up today at the NEO District tournament as Sathvik fell to #1 Mentor to finish his successful season which included All-GCC at first singles and the team’s first district qualifier in 20 years!
4th seeded Sathvik qualified for the District tournament next Thursday with a 6-4,3-6,6-2 victory over Highland! Yesterday he defeated Olmsted Falls & St. Ignatius. He will play on Saturday in the semi-final round
Strongsville had a good showing at the Highland Sectional yesterday & today: Will won his first match over St. Ignatius 6-2,6-4 before falling in the second round to #2 seeded Wooster 6-3,6-0. Phil/Luke beat a tough Midview team 7-5,6-2 before falling to Highland in round two
JD/Chaatwik advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating Steele (6-1,6-0) & North Ridgeville (6-0,6-1) before falling to the top seed from Highland. Mark also advanced into the quarters with wins over Westlake (6-0,6-1) & Ignatius (7-6,6-0) before falling to Wooster 6-4,6-0
JV defeated St Ed’s 5-0 yesterday: Zach, Michael and Hari slid up to singles and swept the singles courts. At doubles Bhargava/Dhanush and Guarav/Connor earned wins and Harry, Smaran and Alek added on at the exhibition courts!
JV (9-0) extended their unbeaten streak to 9 games with a 3-2 win at Brecksville-Broadview Hts. Ved, Karthik and Luke/Zach clinched courts for the Mustangs!
Strongsville falls to 7-4 with a loss to Brecksville-Broadview Hts. Mark led the Mustangs as he forced a third set after dropping the first. Back in action tomorrow vs North Ridgeville!
JV got a big 3-2 win at North Royalton to stayed undefeated and move to 8-0 on the year! Wins came from Avaneesh & Karthik at singles and Kabeer/Luke at doubles
Mustangs played well to start the week but fell 4-1 to #5 North Royalton. Phil/Luke claimed the team point with a 6-3,6-3 win at first doubles. Strongsville is back in action tomorrow vs Brecksville-Broadview Hts!
JV continued their winning ways with a 3-2 win over St Ed’s. Avaneesh, Karthik and Luke/Zach clinched courts for the Mustangs. With the win they improve to 7-0. Tomorrow the team will compete at the JV GCC Tournament in Medina
The Mustangs (7-2, 3-1 GCC) bounced back into the win column with a 4-1 win at St Ed’s behind Jignesh/Chaatwik’s most dominant match of the year and wins by Sathvik, Will & Phil/Luke. The team heads to Medina Saturday for the annual doubles tournament!
Congrats to Coach Maatz & the JV team: this is the 3rd year in a row they have gone undefeated in conference play!
Today the JV team won 4-1 over Shaker to improve to 6-0 (3-0 GCC). Wins came from Avaneesh & Karthik at singles and Michael/Zach & Kabeer/Luke at doubles!

The JV team also picked up another win with a 5-0 result at Brunswick. Avaneesh, Ved, Karthik, Kabeer/Luke and Michael/Zach all earned wins as they improved their record to 5-0 (2-0 GCC)
