When national power is concentrated into the hands of one person, party, or family, the entire nation and everything composing of said nation is in that one party, person, or family’s mercy. The door is also swung open even more so than in a democracy for corruption to thrive and become endemic. Democracy is clearly failing the wider West, but we must still tread this path very cautiously.
