I had the pleasure of adding a couple of my books to the library of books at Grouchy John’s Coffee. If you’re ever in Las Vegas, check out either of their locations. Great coffee. Great reads.
I published my first novel at 49. Now 56, I have 4 published. I’ll have 4 more out by the end of the summer, which will be 8 in the Project: Hero universe, including third book for the main series. From there, It’ll be on to book 4 and a new scifi series to take on Star Wars.
Curious about this for writers. Any writers in their 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s+ feeling like their best creative life is happening right now?
I'd love to hear from you!
I’m now about to publish books 5-8 by the end of summer. What has helped me has been having other books or projects to work on when I’m stuck. The break from writing the same thing works as a reset, and I’m able to come back not having the barrier, or I have a fresh perspective.
It's been almost a year since I started writing my first novel. 85 pages in, and I am still in the first half of the manuscript.
Writer's block is real. Sometimes it takes weeks or even months to get back on track.
Do all writers go through this phase too?
Picked up this commission piece at Motor City Comic Con by the amazing Dave Brown. I liked mixing it up with Ghost Maker rather than Batman. If you get a chance to check out Dave’s stuff at an upcoming show, definitely do so. You won’t be disappointed. Thanks, sir.
Long time, no post. With the Indiana Comic Con not that far away, these will probably not be done in time. I’m planning on all of them ready for the fall shows, starting with Printers Row in Chicago this September. Stay tuned for more info.
@DrNeilStone So, it used to be that someone would say they played a doctor on TV without being one. I didn’t know that you could do that online. Okay then. Greetings. I’m the Doctor of Donuts.
@elonmusk Agenda driven groups require fear to acquire funding and exist, from hate, to the climate crisis, anti-vax, etc. The climate crisis, in particular, has to keep people in fear, even though data and evidence says otherwise, and we’re in a cold cycle per the geological record.
Wow! Second book finished with editing in about a week. This is my second children’s novel. It’ll be great to have this ready for the Indiana Comic Con. Now to get the cover done. Let’s do this!
Well, there it is. Finished editing my adult only novel. I can’t wait for everyone to see the amazing cover Jimbo Salgado is working on. Stay tuned for the awesomeness.
@jk_rowling I love that they’re great for taking out the puppies to go to the bathroom on a chilly night. Plus, the main character from my novels wears one. #ProjectHeroSaga
