Napoleon Jones was illegally arrested by Deputy Shayhorn, and after spending 5 hours in jail, Jones was released without charges and filed a complaint against the department.

During litigation in his lawsuit, it was revealed that a lieutenant in the Waukesha Sheriff’s Department ordered hundreds of Flock searches of Jones’ vehicle, seemingly in retaliation for the filed complaint.

Jones filed a federal lawsuit on December 1, 2025, against Waukesha County, the Village of Lisbon, and Deputy Shayhorn. Jones’ lawsuit alleges violations of the 4th and 14th Amendments - unreasonable search and seizure, false arrest, lack of Probable Cause, and targeted retaliation and electronic tracking after filing a grievance.

Jones shared his story to the Milwaukee Fire & Police Commission (FPC) on Thursday, Sept 3rd, during their public comment on Flock cameras.

Many citizens have made it clear that they don’t want the MPD to use surveillance tools. Hundreds packed the room and the overflow room to deliver statements calling for a ban on all Flock cameras and an end to the surveillance state.

Dank, you realize you’re just making the case for hemp right? We need stronger regulation on the hemp side. That is exactly what responsible people in hemp have been asking for.

So, I think they will regulate it at the federal level, which is exactly what the hemp side has been asking for and exactly what is needed.

And your own post just conceded the biggest point. You’re saying THCA hemp flower can be compliant. Exactly. The difference you keep pointing to is the regulatory structure around the product, not some magical difference in the plant.

That is why constantly calling it a “loophole” matters.

A loophole is something people exploit to get around a law. Hemp businesses are pointing directly at the definition Congress actually wrote. You may hate the result, but that does not magically turn the statutory language into a loophole.

Every time you call it one, you’re telling the lawmakers who wrote and passed the law that they screwed it up. You’re telling them the words they put into federal law didn’t really mean what they said. And you’re telling millions of consumers and thousands of businesses that followed that definition that they were somehow cheating simply because the market developed in a way you don’t like.

And I’m guessing lawmakers don’t particularly appreciate being told they were too stupid to understand the law they wrote. 😉

Worse, calling it a loophole changes the entire conversation. Instead of asking Congress to regulate an existing legal market, you’re asking them to treat that market as an accident that needs to be erased.

Those are two very different arguments.

And that is where I think you guys keep making the strategic mistake. Instead of saying, “This market exists, consumers clearly want these products, now let’s regulate it properly,” you keep screaming loophole, unregulated weed, and prohibition.

Why?

Because regulation allows both sides to compete. Prohibition protects the stock prices.

Maybe those companies should just launch on the hemp side and show the “Hempsters” how it’s done. Many already have. 😉

So what exactly are we fighting about?

Testing and age gating? Fine. Regulate them.

Labeling? Regulate it.

Manufacturing standards? Regulate them.

Enforcement against bad actors? Absolutely.

But none of those things require eliminating an entire legal market.

The real fight is whether one side gets to sell cannabis while using government regulation to eliminate the other side.

That is why I keep saying regulate hemp. Don’t pretend Congress never legalized it just because you don’t like what the market did with the law Congress wrote.

Regulation solves the problems you’re complaining about. Prohibition solves the competition problem. Those aren’t the same thing.

Ethos Cannabis submitted testing data to Pennsylvania lawmakers covering 6,689 batches of state licensed medical marijuana flower.

Average Delta 9 THC? 0.20%.

Average THCA? 23.6%.

And 84.7% of those batches tested below 0.3% Delta 9 THC. 🤣🤣

So let me make sure I understand the argument.

Flower with 23% THCA sitting inside a marijuana dispensary is medical cannabis, but flower with 23% THCA and less than 0.3% Delta 9 sitting inside a hemp store is some terrifying loophole that must be destroyed immediately?

Interesting. 🤔

Same plant.

Same THCA.

Same chemistry.

Different license.

And before one of you comes running in here screaming about total THC testing, yes I know the cultivation rules are different. That is actually part of the point.

I am talking about the finished flower sitting on the shelf.

84.7% of the marijuana flower Ethos tested was already below the Delta 9 number you people use to tell everyone how completely different “THCA hemp” supposedly is.

This fight was never really about botany.

It was never really about THCA.

It is about who gets to sell the plant.

What is good for the marijuana dispensary apparently becomes a public health emergency when the hemp guy sells it.

My boomer dad asked me last week why I'm still renting at 43.

I told him a starter home in our area is $410,000.
