Early winter is a great time to evaluate the success of fall seeded cool season grasses. Now these young plants should have emerged and may even have a few tillers. Regular close monitoring can make diagnosing any potential problems much more effective. #ShopCoop #CoopForUsAll

If you are not doing cover crops on your farm, a fall burn down will help with weed control until spring. Herbicides should be applied before temperatures drop below freezing. #ShopCoop #CoopForUsAll

Did you know that grass will continue to grow as long as temperatures remain around 40 degrees? Do not allow your grass to grow too tall. Tall, thick grass allow animals like voles to take shelter! #ShopCoop #CoopForUsAll

PH is the most important part of your fertility program! When to lime is always a question that comes up and the truth is if your ph is not where it should be, there is always time to apply. Don’t wait until fall or spring, do it as soon as possible! #ShopCoop #CoopForUsAll
