⚠️ Flood Alerts and Warnings: #Cumbria #Lancashire ⚠️

There are currently 20 flood alerts and 10 flood warnings in place across the North West.

The #M6 is closed between junctions 41 and 42 due to flooding, and train services from West Cumbria to #Carlisle are cancelled because of flooded tracks. 🚗🚆💧

If you live in an area with a flood alert, be prepared, check your flood plan and monitor updates.
If you’re under a flood warning, take action, move valuables and pets upstairs and follow official advice.

The Lake District is known for rain but it's been very wet recently, even for here. 319 mm of rain has fallen at Honister in 42 hours to 1500 today, 100mm+ more widely.
