In the Story Mode, when talking to one of the Alpake in the Camp, it's revealed that lipstick exists in Fœnum. Not only that but, naturally, Paprika uses it, leaving her victims with "scars" after the encounter.

Cashmere is mainly designed by Aaron Stavely. She was based on the idea of "Velvet but different". Early sketches also reveal she has less floof covering chest than the other reindeer; it can be briefly seen in her game art.

@mariofan48 No. You might be having a false memory (mandela effect), thinking something has happened, but it never did. Snowballs fights NEVER appeared in the game.
If it ever happened, there would be screenshots, and more people talking about it. There's no evidence of it, and never been.
The first Pixel Lobby demonstration shows us what it could be: different pixel sprites, lobby layout and HUD. It also shows us snowballs fights, one of the potential features that could be in the game. It's now, most likely, getting scrapped in the long run.

On the Alpake Highlands - Paprika's homestage - there's a couple of particular Alpake NPCs that appear on it. They're are a reference to Dan and Chris from "Dan VS" show, and appear only on day variant of the stage.

The NPCs from Story Mode appear in the game thanks to randomiser that puts together body parts. They generate each time Story is booted up, or new game starts. Only Texas, Minnesota, Madison, Cashmere, Stronghoof, Adobo, and salad deer have their own sprites.

On the Capricorn - Shanty's home stage - you can see five of the pirate crew characters on the ship. There's also a sixth one, standing on the crow's nest of the Capricorn. He has two eyepatches, and seems to be very pleased with his job.

As a captain of Royal Guard, Tianhuo has her own armor. It can be seen in one of the Book of Lore illustrations in her chapter, as well as on the Tianhuo's Arcade Mode end screen.
M6 would like to make an intro animation of her taking off armor before battle.

One of the earlier footages of the game shows that you could make stage theme go quieter if you idle for long enough during battle. The feature was scrapped, but the final round idle themes, which were composed for it, are still included in OST albums.

The image dates back as far as March 29th, 2013. It's one of the earliest pictures with a core character, making Paprika to be, even if partially, revealed first. No-bubble version shows the green eyes and yellow face!

The quadrupedal game runs on Z-Engine, the same one developed for Skullgirls. Mane6 acquired it for free after a stretch goal was reached during SG's fundraising campaign. For celebration, Mane6 posted a picture of Robo-Fortune and (early rendition of) Paprika.

Inspiration for ice queen's name doesn't come just from fabric of the same name, but it's also reference to the "skin" on antlers. It covers antlers while they're developing, and once the antlers reach full growth, the velvet dries off, allowing to be shedded.

Dark Magic's color scheme consists of black, crimson, bright blue, pink and red. To contrast this, it's possible the colors of Light Magic vary in different shades of green, yellow and cyan - the original color of Oleander's magic and other Unicorns.

The splash artwork take inspiration from Mario Strikers style: messy and dynamic. The original splash sketches for the characters were done by Lauren Faust, and colored by Jay Wright. Starting from 1.0 update, all the splash art would be drawn by AltArt.

Additionally, there's a bear splash artwork done for the Salt Mines 2.0 update. It was drawn by Lindsay Towns - lead character and background artist - before Mane6 commissioned AltArts to do new art for the playable characters, including Shanty.
In the Book of Lore, young Tianhuo and puppy chasing mice illustrations are GIFs. Both contain a secret frame where you can see both of their eyes have the "predator eyes" splash. The dog's color matches Wolf's - red - and Tianhuo has a darker crimson color.
