Artists: Your work is unfinished until the moment that it leaves or is taken from your premises. I often add or take away huge bits one-minute before I file it. Things that just happen and become the thing itself.

Artists: Don’t be silly gooses getting about “not having an idea” for a work. You actually have 100 ideas for every single work. You could make 100 works from the one idea. You just have to get to work you big babies. Idea can’t solve themselves & they’ll pass if you don’t act.😘
Artists: When it comes to your work, use whatever works for you: Materials, media, platforms, scale, tools, techniques, colors. delivery mechanisms, old models or new ones - use it. Beauty is what works.

I read many artist statements. My advice is keep it simple. Write how you talk; maybe share how you knew you were an artist; never oppose the words nature & culture: or say your work “can’t be put into words;” or that it’s a “problemizing” or “troubling” of anything. Do it today!
