El Niño is back, and it is more powerful than ever.
We must act urgently to limit the impact.
With @WMO, we have set out the potential impact. And called for action.

Killing humanitarians takes a chain of people.
I want them to feel fear, shame, guilt. We demand they are held to account.
Here are three ways to do that.
My speech in Brussels today on protecting humanitarians.
Millions of people in humanitarian crises are right now facing toughest moments of their life.
Thank you Angelina Jolie for consistently placing empathy, dignity, resilience and human agency at the heart of our discussions and our action.
Latest humanitarian situation in Gaza, impact of aid cuts, and a story of hope and Irish leadership in meeting global challenges - my interview with @rtenews Six One News from Dublin. 👇
Always privilege to spend time with Irish Prime Minister, Taoiseach @MichealMartinTD.
His principled leadership and practical experience are crucial to crises - where we are delivering humanitarian support against odds.
Excellent to meet UK Foreign Secretary @Ed_Miliband in London to discuss how we are future proofing the humanitarian sector to continue saving millions of lives. Thanks to UK for support and partnership.
This UN week, leaders of local humanitarian organisations co-led my delegation. This was about some of us getting out of the way, listening and learning. They were clear: we need genuine shift of power and mindset across sector, more protection of workers, more funding.
Now it can feel like the United Nations is completely paralysed with inaction, but @UNReliefChief tells me that, despite struggles, the organisation is saving tens of millions of lives this year.
