As a Christian dad, I was upset at this at first. But now I’m just upset at the New York Post and their terrible journalism. She clearly wasn’t saying what this headline makes you believe.
@Ssnyder1835 If you’re ever able to come to Huntsville, Alabama we’d love to have you! We’ve got a couple comic shops in the area and a comic con every April.
@jimshapiro Some people just get the positions and win. There’s hundreds, probably thousands of great coaches out there that get unfortunate circumstances. Lot more to coaching than getting W’s.
Proud of Bama. Refs don’t call illegal screens on Michigan. The one dude flopped all game long. Michigan hit shots. Our point guard led in rebounds. Four straight sweet 16’s. Good time to be a bama basketball fan.
Talent wise he’s up there at 2. But Sears got us to first ever final 4. Sexton got us to the tournament with a buzzer beater when we were constantly on the bubble, plus he played 3 on 5 in an unforgettable moment.
Is Alabama guard Labaron Philon among the best to ever step foot in Tuscaloosa? 🤔
I might be an outlier, but I believe it’s time to place Labaron Philon into consideration as being one of the best players in Alabama Basketball history.
Philon is having one of the best individual seasons that any Alabama player has ever had.
He is averaging 22.0 PPG, 5.1 APG, and 3.5 RPG while shooting 51.6% from the floor, 37.0% from deep, and 76.1% from the charity stripe.
In addition, Philon has scored 20 or more points in 13 of the 19 games that he has played in this season.
He is averaging 7.7 FGM per game which surpasses the single season-highs of Mark Sears (6.8), Brandon Miller (6.0), and Collin Sexton (5.9).
In a single season, Philon has the second-highest +/- in program history at 11.3 behind only Miller. His usage percentage (31.5) is second behind just Collin Sexton (32.9).
The former five-star is lighting up the stat sheet without having a fully healthy supporting cast for a SINGLE game this season. Quite remarkable.
There is still plenty of work to do for Philon over the next two months, but I think it is safe to say that he is cementing his own legacy in Alabama lore this season.
What are your thoughts on Philon being considered one of the greatest Alabama basketball players in program history? 🤔
Crazy how Miami has alumni that support the program through thick and thin and we’ve got guys like this. So much gifted talent with so little humility.
