The Hon’ble Governor of Telangana has extended the tenure of the 2nd TGSFC by 2 years(G.O Ms. No 59 dated 01/06/2026). The extended period will facilitate a detailed and in-depth assessment of local bodies & formulation of robust recommendations aimed at strengthening RLBs & ULBs

The 4th & final Regional Workshop of the 2nd TGSFCwas held on 15.05.2026 at Suryapet IDOC in collaboration with ASCI. Representatives from RLBs and ULBs across 6 districts of Eastern Telangana actively participated, sharing valuable ground-level experiences & practical inputs.

The 2nd Telangana State Finance Commission , under the chairmanship of @BapuRajaiah along with the Hon’ble Members and Member Secretary, conducted a Regional Workshop on 12/05/2026 at Rangareddy IDOC with participation from the southern districts of Telangana.

The Commission interacted with public representatives of Rural Local Bodies and Urban local bodies and received valuable grassroots level inputs, with focused discussions on strengthening local governance and making local bodies more self-sustaining and financially resilient.
