The TGM Plugin Activation class provides an efficient way to allow WordPress theme authors to reference and include required plugins within their themes.

@DigitlJaved Extracting the plugin files would include the behaviour in your theme, but wouldn't be installable / activatable as a plugin.

@Sc0lie You can hook into the `tgmpa_table_data_items` filter to use a custom sort. Default is sort by type & plugin name. Hope that helps!

@philiplevine In that case, you'd include TGMPA in a plugin. If it's for site you manage, possibly even a must-use plugin. Does that help ?
