The good news: Kyler Murray has reportedly been arriving at Vikings practice on time (per @ProFootballTalk).
The bad news: It's never a moment sooner... and he's usually one of the first to leave TCO when practice ends.
Life lesson: Don't expect people to change. It's rare. https://t.co/0ShLme2R6I
Hearing that Melkart Abou-Jaoude could miss some time with the hand injury he suffered against TCU.
Definitely not ideal, but the D-line looked great overall, so hopefully they can hold it down if he misses some games💪🩵

#Bears HC Ben Johnson says Caleb Williams had a “goofy” side to him a year ago, but now he’s more serious and there’s more intent behind everything he’s doing.
“He’s taken a lot of pride in his approach.”
Dearest mother,
It's time. Scouts report a mangy herd of grizzly Bears shuffling south, confused by the trails. They whisper their so‑called Iceman, Gen. Williams, leads with glittering painted talons, preening like a frost‑den peacock instead of a true beast. Bewildered.

Much has been made of the Patriots’ mysterious “Pink Stripes.” How about yellow ones?
I went through more than a decade of TV broadcasts and uncovered a diabolically clever piece of Patriots gamesmanship.
When opposing kickers lined up at Gillette Stadium, the video board displayed a reverse view of the kick, placing a second, offset set of yellow uprights directly behind the real ones.
In windy conditions, even the orange streamers on the video board appeared to point in the opposite direction from those atop the physical uprights, making the illusion even more disorienting.
I found dozens of examples. In the same games, I reviewed 52 Patriots field goal attempts.
The illusion appeared on Patriots kicks exactly zero times.
We actually tried copying the idea when I was in Philadelphia, but the location of the video boards at Lincoln Financial Field made it nearly useless.
It is the perfect encapsulation of the Patriots dynasty. No detail was too small, and no possible edge was left unexplored.
We talked about this tactic and more on tonight’s episode of the Paganetti and Underhill show, out now on Youtube
Quick programming note! Observer subscribers and #Panthers fans heard from Jalen Coker at our event at @oldemeckbrew in Ballantyne. Great night!
Our conversation (+ @scott_fowler) will be on tomorrow’s #ProcessingBlue podcast. Might drop closer to noon — but it’ll be there 😎
Bill Belichick says he learned from Bob Knight coaching Michael Jordan to coach the best players as hard as you coach the worst ones because then it gives the best ones more authority to lead
“It was really important because Tom knew it, and Tom brought it to my attention. It enabled him to give more leadership to the offense. If I didn’t point him out, then everybody walks out there feeling like, ‘Well, they got yelled at except for him.’”
“But when I could make points to Tom, then Tom could say, ‘Hey fellas, look, he got after me too. He got after all of us. We’ve got to get it going.’ And I learned that from Coach Knight.”
“Coach Knight did that with Jordan in the Olympics. He told Jordan, ‘Jordan, I’m going to be on you. I’m going to be on you hard, especially on defense, because I know you can take it.’”
“Jordan says, ‘Bring it on. I just want everybody else to play better. Bring it on.’ Because if you’re yelling at Michael Jordan, everybody else has got to come.”
“So a lot of times I would tell Tom, ‘Hey Tom, it could get a little rough in there today. Just want to let you know.’ He goes, ‘Well, make sure you include me. I need to be part of it.’”
@CodyLac Glad you were able to infer things I didn’t even know were possible via a single post where I was laughing about the social interaction and not the actual response. Holy crap dude, I promise you life ain’t that serious man.
My man @alexzietlow05 got a short response from Dave about King as a QB package option but still thanked him, and Dave couldn’t help but laugh at how short it was 😂🤣
