@camillerrivera Hit pieces are easy to churn out when you can just choose to ignore a person’s accomplishments, commitments and innumerable instances of mentorship, especially of young women of color. That’s always been @camillerrivera. I’m proud to call her my friend and stand with her always.

“Blaming the outcome of this election on the Hispanic electorate is simply not supported by the electoral math in the Blue Wall states. To say otherwise is not only irresponsible, it is bad political analysis,” say Equis’s co-founders @stephanievalenc and @carlosodio
If your ONLY takeaway from the real and devastating fact that there was an increase in Latinos voting for Trump this cycle is “racism” and “proximity to whiteness,” there’s this thing called critical thinking that I highly recommend. Try it - you’ll like it!
@ElieNYC Please stop. Do better. We’re past the stage of blame. Let’s figure out a path forward for the next four years. You’ve made your point. Now what?
Most Latinos voted against him. And they’re going to face some of the worst consequences anyway if this goes south. If anyone wants to actually understand the few who shifted, we can have that convo. But there are better, more constructive & more honest places to point blame.

Today, the NYC Council announced ‘City for All,’ a holistic housing plan for all New Yorkers.
Here’s what we’re most excited about:
✅ More tenant protection vouchers to keep people in their homes
✅ Funding for AHTP to ensure that tenants are in housing without bad conditions
✅ Funding to make repairs for NYCHA tenants
✅ Funding to repair empty NYCHA apartments and move in new tenants
These plans will help our city thrive by stabilizing our communities. We look forward to working with the Council to deliver justice to our clients and low-income New Yorkers in all boroughs.
