💧 Most of my friends have already moved to Bluesky, so I'll follow where the fun is.
(Okay, I was on BS before I was on Twatter, so it's not really moving, just getting back to my roots.)
Have a good one @ all.

but begin to curiously examine the creature, illuminating their static face in the shine of their orange scanner beam before curiously bending down a bit and gently poking the creature's forehead with their index finger.
The Vagrant are - for now - not directly concerned about their safety. With one alien; one that seems to not show any signs of hostility, they wage their opportunities ad decide that a closer examination of this place is worth the exposure.

Unnerved by the Vex unit staring over his shoulder, the Speaker keeps writing down notes. He had never met a vex unit before, let alone a friendly one.
"Uh, hello. Can I assit you? "
Walking though the room they attentively scan every bit of gear - some of it anachronistic in appearance - before they eventually focus on the alien speaking to them.
The Vagrant lack the reference to put their words into perspective yet,

The Vagrant see themself compelled to cooperate with them, even if they can not comprehend the full picture.
Hunkering down they acknowledge their peer with a flash of their main photoreceptor before they slowly begin to mirror the tiny pioneer's hand gesture.
It is not the first time the Vagrant observed this gesture.
As a matter of fact Vex possess extensive records about aliens' proxy communication, including the ones via gestures.
They however have never experienced an alien attempting gesticulated communication with them.
+
The [tiny pioneer] in front of them stands out; they are different... Significant... In a way the Vagrant do not yet understand.
At least not without the perspective records about this one's further development within desired timelines would provide.
+
They have never reflected upon their situation, let alone viewed themself as anything else than a cluster of struggling survivors in an uphill battle.
Until now...
As the alien taps the glass, the Vagrant seem to freeze, not entirely sure how to assess the situation.
They can neither read sigs of hostility nor bliss on the creature, yet they react strongly to the Radiolite samples.
So do the Vagrant.
In their own stoic, statue-esque way.

Staring first at the minotaur then at the display case, Willow tilted her head curiously.
"What do you see that I don't?" She didn't really expect an answer but it helped her to noodle things out in her brain to ask questions aloud. She reached out to tap the glass hesitantly.
...They recall other Vex aiming their weaponry at them, every bit as instinctually driven to uphold integrity and cohesion of their kind as the Vagrant.
At this sudden realisation they stop.
