Father, we thank You that You deliver us from sadness and strife through Your great mercy and love. You are the giver of eternal life and the source of true joy that fills our days here on earth. Help us release every fear of loss and sorrow so despair does not take root in our hearts. Fill us with the real freedom that comes from trusting in Your promises of abundant living and everlasting hope. Let us rest in Your wonderful future You have prepared for us in Heaven. Amen.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the dangers we drove past without knowing they were there, the accident that didn't happen, the meeting that was cancelled for reasons we didn't understand, the person we didn't end up in business with.

Father, thank You for the protection that operates in the background, silent, unreported, unposted.

Father, today we ask for a hedge around us and everything that belongs to us... not because we've been perfect, but because You are faithful and the enemy is not sleeping.

"Have You not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land." Job 1:10

Do it again Father, You did it for Job... even Satan had to ask permission before he could touch him, had to acknowledge that a hedge existed, had to appeal to You to remove it. The enemy could see the hedge clearly even when Job couldn't. That hedge was the reason for the attack request.

Do it again for us. Make our hedge visible to the ones who mean us harm. Let our protection be the first thing they notice and the reason they have to ask permission they will not receive. In Jesus's name we pray. AMEN.
