Imo a quality Couture collection requires curation. It is very cool to see Schiaparelli doing just that. You develop an idea as far as you can, but when it doesn’t make sense with the rest of the collection or on the body, it has to be cut. That’s how you achieve greatness!!

This is a complete failure to address the core challenge of the season: creating garments that are inherently lightweight and breathable. It raises the question of whether the layering choice serves as a shortcut for the designers? Are they getting lazy?
I ask this every season, but: what is LV Men’s core proposition? The clothes are nice (albeit a bit monotonous) but where’s the magic? The why? In a crowded menswear market, I’m still searching for the point of view that makes LV feel singular.
@itsbleekerxox I believe in his last iteration he was able to shift the focus from archival replication toward a more contemporary aesthetic. That said, I agree he should get outta that zone‼️
