The Storyline: "The Master Tape War"
The Setup

A cold, corporate "Director of Audio" debuts a new initiative: The Identity Eraser. They argue that wrestlers are "employees, not rockstars," and systematically replace every theme with generic, numbered beats (e.g., "Athlete Theme #04").

The Conflict
The Mute Button: The heel Director literally "mutes" a superstar’s music mid-entrance if they don’t follow corporate rules.
The Resistance: A group of veterans begins "raiding" the production truck, playing 5 seconds of legendary, "banned" riffs to trigger the crowd.

The Climax
A "Sound & Fury" Ladder Match. Suspended above the ring is a Golden Master Tape containing the rights to the roster’s classic music.

The Finish: The face wins and smashes a giant "Override" button on the stage.
The Payoff: The arena lights go black, and for the first time in months, an iconic, bone-shaking theme hits to a deafening roar.

The story begins when a new heel General Manager (or a "Corporate Consultant" character) announces that WWE is "modernizing its brand." They claim the classic, loud entrance themes are "distracting and outdated."
The Hook: The GM introduces a "Uniform Sound Initiative."

The Change: Over the next few weeks, popular wrestlers have their unique music stripped away and replaced with the most generic, royalty-free-sounding "stock beats" imaginable.

The Heat: When a fan-favorite like Sheamus or Randy Orton comes out to a bland elevator-music track, the GM brags on the mic about how "clean" and "efficient" the new brand sounds.

Phase 2: The Rebellion

The wrestlers start to lose their "edge." In promos, they explain that without their music, they don’t feel like themselves.
The Mid-Point: A wrestler (let’s say AJ Styles) refuses to enter the ring until his actual music is played. He stands on the stage in total silence while the generic music loops.
The Twist: The fans start hum-singing the "old" themes themselves to fill the silence, creating a powerful, organic moment where the audience "gives the wrestler their soul back."

Phase 3: The "Grand Theft Audio" Match

The storyline culminates at a Premium Live Event (like SummerSlam or Survivor Series).
The Match: A "Music Rights on a Pole" or a high-stakes Unsanctioned Match.
The Stipulation: If the wrestlers win, they earn the right to choose their own music and "fire" the corporate music producers.

The Payoff: During the match, the "bad" music is playing on a loop, annoying the crowd. When the hero finally wins, the music cuts out. After a three-second silence... the glass breaks or the iconic first chord of a real "banger" hits.
