I'm so glad that Scream 6 kept Kirby Reed alive, making her a 2 time final girl, and giving her the chance to kill a Ghostface. It was never lost on me that Ethan Landry was a reflection of Charlie Walker, and that her taking him out was retribution for the trauma she suffered.🤍
When did the Silent Hill community become so conservative? It's odd considering almost every entry has some of the most progressive theming in video game history. Abortions, domestic abuse, bodily autonomy, exploitation of women, religious fanaticism. Should be a chuds nightmare.
(2/2) is about Heather unwillingly being impregnated & pushed by a religious cult to give birth which is not subtle with its allegories. Hell Harry helps her to get rid of it
You do know abortions are for unwanted pregnancies & not like a "I hate all children" kinda thing, right?
(1/2) Heather Mason from Silent Hill 3 is pro-abortion. I actually do not know how you could've played SH3 & have a Heather icon & not realized that
Even ignoring the blatant things like her stomping the fetus or the coat hanger puzzle solution, literally the whole game directly
@AestheticGamer1 Silent Hill 3 is literally a game about an underage girl (Heather is SEVENTEEN in SH3) being forced to give birth at the behest of a Christian-coded religious cult, like there's not a second way you can take that. That's just blatantly what the plot is about.
Silent Hill has always been woke, get over it.
It's literally a series whoses first four games include how religion objectifies women & does fucked up things to kids behind closed doors, female body autonomy, abortion, the horrors of man's image of a mother, etc, etc.
electric toothbrushes were originally made for people with disabilities but now everyone uses them. the same with velcro, & even curb cuts, which were designed for wheelchair users, but now useful to cyclists & pram-pushing mothers. rights for a subgroup can end up benefiting all
