Most athletes train hard.
Very few understand why they do what they do

It’s actually interesting when you look at it form this perspective. ‘If you don’t get a promotion or the top award at your job was your year a failure?’
I get a lot of DM’s asking me to break down film for your kids/athletes. Here’s your chance.

This is what I teach my receivers. Put your foot in the ground & break across his face.
Myles Garrett is doing this as a DE against future HOF Trent Williams! 😳
This is why I push athletes to play multiple positions & sports. You’ll be more athletic & creative
Sunday Evening in Tuscaloosa
This is awesome stuff — on Sunday evening, just one day after beating South Carolina on the road and on the first day of the bye week, several Alabama players — including Ty Simpson, Wilkin Formby, Germie Bernard, Tim Kennan, Isaiah Horton and more — gathered in the North End Zone at Bryant-Denny Stadium for an event called “Audience of One,” where they shared their testimonies with nearly 2,000 people.
I’ve covered a lot of teams at UA, but I’ve never been around a group that shares their faith in Christ in so many different ways. ❤️
I was told this was Germie Bernard’s vision

😢🕊️ I remember when my cousins came back for the summer and said, “y’all heard of D’Angelo?” That moment changed how I hear & play music. He led me to Prince (my favorite), James Brown, & made me listen deeper to Stevie. This week = all D’Angelo.

X & O’s/Gameplan is one thing, but building and sustaining a program overall is another thing. That takes vision.
I don’t have to be brilliant at X&O’s, I can hire ppl who are.
James Franklin shows how ignorant the people in charge of making decisions are about football.
I always say this, but you can tell that universities and NFL organizations have no clue about football by the way they hire and fire coaches.
Calling good plays & coming up w/good schemes doesn’t make you a leader that people want to follow
Nor does it automatically give you vision for leading. Two core things you MUST have as an organizational leader.
Do you have vision? Do ppl want to follow you?
Examples: How they put so much emphasis on the combine as if they don’t have 3-4 years of film on players. Along with going to practices. More like 10 yrs of film w/these last draft classes 😂
They consistently hire good X&O’s coaches as if that translates to leading a team.
