Four weeks ago, this fundraiser was just an idea fueled by faith, hope, and a desire to make a difference.

Today, our 1st Annual Silent Auction Fundraiser is completely SOLD OUT.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we've secured 31 sponsors and community partners and over $22,000 in auction items, including signed Canucks memorabilia, a Canucks private suite package, hotel getaways, restaurant experiences, fitness packages, jewelry, electronics, and more.

I'm overwhelmed with gratitude for every business, donor, volunteer, supporter, and friend who chose to believe in our mission.

This isn't just about a successful event. It's about creating hope for people experiencing homelessness, poverty, food insecurity, and crisis. It's about providing practical support today while taking meaningful steps toward our long-term vision of building a Women's Crisis Transitional Village where women can find safety, stability, and a fresh start.

What we're witnessing is proof that when a community comes together with compassion and purpose, incredible things can happen.

When Halloween is over

This Silent Auction began long before the posters and the sponsor list. It started on the streets of Surrey during the nights we've spent handing out meals and checking in on people who have become part of our street family.

We saw parents trying to feed their children while living in crisis.

We saw people trying to stay warm with only a thin blanket. We saw fear and exhaustion, but also hope when someone arrived with a meal and a reminder that they mattered.

That is where the idea for this fundraiser came from. If we want to keep showing up, we need the community to stand with us. This event is fuel. It helps us provide more meals, more support, and more nights covered. It helps us move toward warming stations, crisis response, and eventually a Women's shelter where people can find safety instead of just surviving.

Greater Vancouver responded with heart.

Thirty six sponsors stepped forward and said they believe in this mission. Families, businesses, and donors all came together with one message. They want to help us help them.

This Silent Auction is a celebration of that unity. It is a reminder that change happens when a community decides that no one should face hunger or crisis alone. This is more than a fundraiser. It is the beginning of something bigger...

I’ve secured 36 verified sponsors and more than $25,000 dollars in auction items for a sold out fundraiser supporting the homeless. Yet a few uninformed people think calling me a grifter makes sense. It doesn’t.

Our sponsors know exactly who we are. They are credible, established, and they support us because they have seen the work firsthand. The only people throwing around accusations are the ones who have never contributed to our community and have no idea what our society actually does.

The real ones know. 🙂
