@Mets So your best trade chip can’t get you a top 100 prospect? Why bother? I guess there is zero plan to complete whenever the next mlb season happens.
@TylerGildin@AmazinShea Diaz was far from the best reliever in baseball. He might have the best stuff, but he was weak mentally. He had two phenomenal years, two average years, a horrendous year, a year hurt and a very good Covid induced 1/4 of a year. That overall is a meh Mets career.
@notgaetti Here’s the thing, he’s a bust but at the same time he should not have been part of that deal. The deal was a salary dump, zero need to throw in your top prospect. He could’ve been used to bring in another star.
@CodifyBaseball@Jared_Carrabis If it weren’t for the fact that the owners aren’t going to accept a deal without a salary cap this would be a possibility.
@SNYtv There is no reason to even think about signing/trading for a pitcher over 25 at this point. You’re getting one year from them and then losing the better part of the next two years because of labor strife. @Mets aren’t competing for championship this year.
@SNYtv@NYNJHarper I’ve never been so unexcited for baseball season. Ever. Knowing this season is a lost year and that a lockout/strike is all but guaranteed is just killing the sport for me. @Mets@StevenACohen2 Glad I didn’t buy tix for opening day yet. I’m staying home.
