A THREAD!!!!
This tweet have been coming for a couple of days now and it due to the fact that I honestly still haven’t properly processed it yet but I have officially become a part of the Twitch Affiliate Program!!
I'm simple terms the reasons why the rest of football fans celebrate the demise of arsenal can be accredited to the fact that...
1. They overhype players and excessively on social media and claim that all the players for example that go to united, go there to end their careers.
2. The can't play from open play. I've personally seen multiple instances of arsenal training vids where they're holding the ball between each other's heads and walking together. When you have the quality of players that they actually have and you under utilise them in only corners/free-kicks/penalties you never get to fully advance their skills from open play. Example Utd v Arsenal when Mbeumo scored the first goal, arsenal claimed Zubi is world class but he hasn't had significant training in tracking back in very tight and compressive situations and that resulted in the first goal. There's many more examples of players not having the football IQ to understand what is necessary at that point to do so they panic and evidently bottle it. Yes everyone makes mistakes in this game and it comes at a cost but arsenal have shown to have made multiple mistakes over the last few years and still haven't learned how to properly cope with it.
3. They're manager has been running on desperation mode in the last couple of years. For years some arsenal fans had the believe that he was the answer, his tactics are now showing amongst even the arsenal fans are now being questioned as to why he did x,z and z. They criticised the likes of united over the last 10+ years after all the managers utd have had and laughed at their tactics and have laughed when they got fired after x amount of time.
4. The football that they play isn't and will never repersent what the game actually stands for. When you look at the game they play now, you see a team seeking and easy victory via disgraceful methods for the sake of victory in games or trophies. I respected the arsenal teams 10/15/20 years ago as they fought tooth and nail for every blade of grass that were on, they had charisma and gritness about them, they fought for that arsenal badge. This team seems like they're fighting for a paycheck in their pockets, they lower their standards to such levels because they are desperate to be winners. Footy fans don't look at this arsenal team and will say they won fair and square, they will look at them and think how low could you sell yourselves just to lift a trophy.
Football is a game of respect, determination and courage, if the whole club from the top down dont show that they have the courage to fight or the determination to be the best team then the game and it's fans will never respect the players and any management that thinks it's ok to adopt such tactics to win. You will be nothing if you treat the club and the badge like their nothing.
These are my opinions and I'm sorry if this offends anyone but that it the way I see it. Sorry for the long message too!!
The following points in the statement are inaccurate or unsupported based on primary sources (Patrick’s Confessio and Epistola), scholarly analysis of the Latin texts, medieval annals, and historical consensus from multiple independent studies.
The second quoted statement (“I never had any reason to return. Except the Gospel and its promises.”) does not appear in the Confessio, the Epistola ad Coroticum, or any surviving writings attributed to Patrick. The full English translation of the Confessio (standard scholarly version) contains no such phrasing or direct equivalent. Patrick describes divine dreams and a call from the Irish people (a man named Victoricus with a letter “the voice of the Irish” begging him to “come and walk among us”), but he never frames his return in these exact personal terms. Searches across primary texts, translations, and secondary scholarship yield only modern paraphrases echoing the original post itself; the wording is a loose, unattested invention.7d2efbf1fac6
The specific return date “around 432 AD” has no basis in Patrick’s own writings or any contemporary 5th-century record. The Confessio and Epistola contain zero chronological details or dates. The 432 figure originates solely from much later medieval Irish annals (e.g., Annals of Ulster, compiled centuries afterward), which derive it from the documented mission of Palladius in 431 and are widely regarded as unreliable for precise dating. Scholars note frequent conflation of the two figures (Palladius and Patrick) and internal contradictions in the annals; many conclude the traditional 432 chronology is “almost certainly not the actual date” or at best an approximation that conflicts with linguistic, rhetorical, and historical evidence placing Patrick’s activity later in the 5th century (or, in some revisions, earlier). No primary or near-contemporary source fixes the return at 432.0bb9eeaa78929fe375
The birth year “Around 385 AD” is not attested in any primary source or contemporary record. Patrick’s writings provide no dates whatsoever for his birth, captivity, or return. The 385 figure (or slight variants like 387/390) stems entirely from later hagiographical tradition and 19th–20th-century reconstructions; modern scholarship describes all such dates as “impossible to fix with certainty,” with estimates ranging from the mid-4th century (c. 350–370, to align with the “many thousands” raid and Roman Britain context) to later 5th-century options. No Roman British, Irish, or ecclesiastical record from the period confirms 385.03f2ff3e46d3
The claim that the Confessio is “one of the oldest personal documents in European history” is overstated and inaccurate in context. The text was composed late in Patrick’s life (likely mid-to-late 5th century). It postdates Augustine of Hippo’s Confessions (written c. 397–400 AD), a far earlier and more extensive first-person Christian autobiographical work widely preserved and studied in Europe. Earlier Roman-era personal documents (e.g., letters, memoirs) also exist. While the Confessio is among the earliest surviving autobiographical texts from Britain/Ireland in Latin by a non-elite author, the absolute phrasing “one of the oldest… in European history” does not hold under chronological scrutiny of the surviving corpus.2f6018
All other details (British birth in Roman Britain, father’s dual role as deacon with decurion status confirmed across the Confessio and Epistola, kidnapping at ~16 “with many thousands of people,” six years enslaved as a shepherd, escape via ship, voluntary return driven by missionary calling, lifelong work in Ireland, and the Confessio as authentic) align with the primary texts and scholarly consensus, but the statement contains the specific inaccuracies listed above. No additional primary records, annals, or archaeological data alter these findings.
@PeterYomcwiny@Kelz_Realist@aaroncikaya Second of all hasn't your team bottled the league and other competitions more times in the last 4-5 years?!?!
Maybe you should be less delusional thinking that you're going to win all of them lol
You should use the light bulb method😂😂
@PeterYomcwiny@Kelz_Realist@aaroncikaya Wait wait lol where did we bring in carrick mate or the champions league?!
I couldn't care less if united win trophies right now. Consistency is paramount at united, when they can play and win games more regularly and not lose to teams they have no business losing to.
@PeterYomcwiny@Kelz_Realist@aaroncikaya Remind me again who is the number 6 for arsenal who could've defended better in this situation 🤔
Instead of pushing up to pressure cunha, if that was in a better position to not only track cunha better or even to stop the shot he would've actually saved united from scoring.
@pavyg@grok what's going with Belarus to have an entire sporting body denounce a player from that countryand make the fly a "neutral flag" instead of the Belarusian flag?!
I somewhat edited my first video!!

This isn't Battlefield. This isn't Call of Duty. This is our game @OpHarshDoorstop and it is free on Steam. I will be choosing random people who retweet this and giving them Steam keys to our closed beta playtest.
