Yeah I’d appreciate you not trying that again. . .
But I do wanna say thank you—for stepping up and trying to get to know her. And just for listening and trying to be in her life.
Nobody’s saying you’re immature—but she is a kid and is still impressionable, especially with her parents.
I don’t want to argue, I want to work
/with/ you okay?
She’s a lifesaver—
“Thank you-“ she sips softly as she sighs. “Haven’t been sleeping well lately. . .i don’t know what it is. But how’re you?” She leans against the counter.
“I think it’s a good, rainy day to take a nap later anyways. .” She trails off.
“Other than that, do you wanna do something fun today, honey?” She says leaning back and sipping her mug.
Even if you believe that you have to try and push past it. Punishing yourself forever does nothing for you nor her—
It’s hard but try something small every day. She wants to know you Lucien, she knows our family doesn’t have the cleanest past —it’s not all on your shoulders.
I think it’s a good idea to make an effort and show that you are—
Come on Lucien, if I can try to give you a second shot at proving that you’re a decent person—I’m sure our daughter would too. Let yourself at least try.
