Why is retail completely ignoring crypto right now? 🤔
It's not just the volatility. If we look at it honestly, there are 9 brutal, real-world reasons why everyday people have zero interest in coming back to this market.
The Wild West is exhausting 🚨
If an S&P 500 stock drops 99% overnight, people go to
jail. In crypto? It's just another Tuesday meme coin rug
pull. Zero safety nets and zero investor protection
completely destroy any chance of mainstream trust.
The game feels rigged 🐋
Everyone knows the market doesn't move on natural
supply and demand anymore. It moves when a few
whales decide it should. Seeing order books spoofed
and liquidations hunted makes retail feel like they're just
exit liquidity.
No one is actually using this stuff 🤷♂️
We have 100 different Layer 1s and fancy tech
narratives, but where are the real-world killer apps?
Normal people are still asking, "So... what does this
actually do?" You can't build long-term value on hype
alone.
Constant paranoia of getting hacked 🏴☠️
Smart contract exploits, exchange hacks, phishing
links... The fact that your entire net worth can vanish
because you clicked the wrong link or a dev messed up
the code is terrifying. Nobody wants to risk their life
savings on that.
The Risk-to-Reward just isn't there anymore 📉
Crypto used to be "High Risk, High Return." Now it's just
immense risk, infinite stress, and... terrible returns
compared to just holding US tech stocks. Why lose
sleep over crypto when TradFi is printing safely?
Too clunky and sketchy 🏦
Sure, we have ETFs now, but actually using crypto (self-
custody) is a nightmare for the average Joe. Plus,
keeping money on a centralized exchange still feels like
a gamble. Everyone is permanently traumatized by FTX.
No bottom in sight ⚓️
When stocks crash, there's a P/E ratio or dividend yield
to say "okay, this is cheap." Crypto has no fundamental
anchor. When we dump, there's this existential dread
that it could literally go to zero, which just fuels massive
panic selling.
24/7 Market Burnout 🕰️
Wall Street gets to sleep on weekends. Crypto never
closes. Staring at charts 24/7/365 absolutely fries your
brain. Exhausted, sleep-deprived people make terrible,
emotional choices (FOMO or panic sell). It’s mentally
draining.
Cognitive Overload 🧠
Setting up a hardware wallet, hiding a 24-word seed
phrase, bridging tokens, paying gas fees... it's a massive
headache. Human psychology avoids complex,
uncontrollable risks. If it’s this hard just to use, mass
adoption is a pipe dream.
💡 TL;DR
Crypto isn't just suffering from a lack of hype; it has
deep structural and psychological flaws. Until the
industry fixes the rigged games, the constant hacks,
and the sheer exhausting nature of it all, retail isn't
coming back to the casino.

What just happened?
Market makers pushed price sharply down into the $61,400–$61,600 zone, wiping out stop-losses and liquidation clusters from over-leveraged long positions ⚡️. That panic selling was aggressively absorbed by large players, creating a strong lower wick as liquidity got swept and quickly bought up. That’s why price snapped back fast to around $62,543.6 USDT.
So what’s next? (short-term bullish edge 📈)
When you see this kind of volume-spike wick, it usually signals that downside momentum is temporarily exhausted. The sell pressure got “cleared out,” and the market shifts back into balance.
Short-term targets: $63,000–$63,400 🎯
The orange MA ($62,934) and cyan MA ($63,387) are acting like magnetic zones. With this momentum, a continuation move into the $63K–$63.4K area is very likely in the short term.

Billie Eilish shares her hill to die on
Is Billie Eilish’s "you can't love animals and eat meat" stance a false dichotomy? Humans evolved over millennia as omnivores within the natural food chain. Can't we advocate for animal welfare and humane farming while accepting our biological diet? Does loving animals truly require total abstinence?

Who’s in control right now?
This move doesn’t look like an overheated long-driven rally. It feels much more like price is being lifted by shorts getting squeezed.
Binance BTC funding was still negative (-0.0047% as of May 4, 2026, 19:39 UTC), so leveraged longs weren’t excessively crowded. That’s why I don’t see this as “longs going crazy and sending it up” — it’s closer to “shorts holding on too long and getting forced out.”
I’m not chasing shorts here.
If anything, there’s still a decent probability we push a bit higher into the 81K–82K liquidity area before we see any real reaction.
My plan is pretty clear:
If we get a retest of 80.2K–80.4K and it holds, I’m interested in longs.
For shorts, I only want to see a sweep of 81K–82K first, then a move back below 80.7K on the 15m with CVD rolling over. That’s the confirmation I need.
If I’m wrong, it should be obvious. If momentum dies here, we lose 80K, and price fails to reclaim it on the bounce, then this becomes a failed breakout rather than continuation. That’s where I shift bias and start looking short.
If you found this helpful, drop a like.
I see this as a distribution phase after squeezing price higher. The move we got this morning was already a classic short trap — I closed my short positions there.
Most chased shorts expecting downside, but got trapped and invalidated.
Now this looks like a spot where late longs from the top are getting trapped.
Donald Trump: These are our Air Force’s powerful search and rescue operators! They are introducing the new HH-60W rescue platform. The tail number of the recently delivered aircraft is 4547, so they call it the “Trump aircraft”! The best, as always, friends! Check out the patch too!

Watching this, the situation in Iran feels like it could trigger something as massive as the Great Depression. The fallout is going to be huge—I'm locking in and looking for short entries.

Told you I was leaning long — in this market, results speak for themselves.
While others were positioned short, dealing with negative funding and weak spot demand, my data still pointed to the upside.
Price delivered as expected — took profit this morning.
I’ll share an update after lunch with my outlook on what’s next.
BTC Sees $604M Liquidated in 24 Hours — More Liquidity Sitting Above
Bitcoin surged to $77,800 in the last 24 hours, triggering $257M in short liquidations.
It then dropped sharply to $74,500, wiping out $347M in long liquidations.
Total liquidations for the day reached $604M.
Current liquidity zones:
→ Below $73,000–$75,000: around $394M stacked
→ Above $78,000–$80,500: around $1.02B concentrated
From a liquidity structure standpoint, the larger liquidation pool is sitting above.

"My yield 'dropped' from 122% to 54%."
Yes, that’s correct. The pace has normalized, but the Edge remains identical. This isn't a decline; it’s a controlled accumulation that still delivers massive Outperformance against the benchmark.
The Data:
March: BTC +2.88% vs. My PnL +122.67% (42x market performance)
April: BTC +13.97% vs. My PnL +54.53% (4x market performance)
Look at the charts—MDD is minimal, and recoveries are near-instant.

Afternoon Trading Journal — 10 PM Update
Currently flat, but preparing to build a long position soon.
My custom signal bot keeps flashing downside signals across the 1H, 4H, and even 6H timeframes. Smart money flow still shows outflows, and bearish divergence remains in play. Top traders are still slightly heavier on shorts.
That said, spot buying strength looks solid.
I already took profit on shorts earlier, then closed a long in profit as well — right after that, price dropped sharply. Caught me off guard.
Starting tomorrow, I’ll post trading journals and market views twice a day.
Most traders are still looking for shorts, but I’m starting to scale into longs here.
Why?
Concerns that BTC could drop if S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite correct
May has historically been a volatile / corrective month
Crypto legislation may still be weeks or months away
Middle East tension and Hormuz risk
Inflation and macro slowdown concerns
Plenty of negatives still on the table.
But lately, unless the news is truly severe, the market doesn’t fall much. On the other hand, one good headline can send price ripping higher.
Especially when whales continue accumulating and exchange supply remains tight, longs now look slightly safer than shorts in my view.
Crowd is leaning short. I’m leaning the other way.
📉 “Sell in May” has often applied to Bitcoin too.
Across past cycles, BTC has repeatedly peaked around April, then drifted lower into Q3. That’s not just fear — it’s a real seasonal pattern backed by data.
But this time, macro liquidity, ETF flows, and supply dynamics look very different.
So the real question now:
Are we about to see the usual May-Q3 correction… or is this cycle breaking the script? 🤔
What do you think — seasonal dump or structural breakout?

The greatest mystery in finance might have a name: Len Sassaman.
He didn't just understand Bitcoin's tech—he helped build the foundations of PGP and anonymous remailers that made it possible. When Satoshi went silent in 2011, the world lost Len shortly after.
The fact that his face is forever immortalized in the Bitcoin blockchain speaks volumes. Was he the one? ₿
