LinkedIn just gave job seekers a better way to search.

So stop searching with just your job title.

Instead of typing:

“Virtual Assistant”

Try telling LinkedIn exactly what you’re looking for.

For example:

“I’m looking for a remote role supporting a busy founder or growing business with admin, backend operations, project coordination, documentation, and workflow management.”

Now LinkedIn has more context about the kind of work you actually want.

But don’t stop at the search bar.

Your profile should tell the same story.

If you’re searching for Executive Assistant roles but your headline, About section, and experience don’t reflect that, you’re sending mixed signals.

Be specific about the work you want.

Then make sure your profile can prove you can do it.

That told me something. Virtual Assistants just starting out aren't short on advice.

They are short on someone showing them what actually moves you from confused to booked.

Most clients never ask for a certificate. Rather, they ask one thing: can you solve my problem.
