@SierraJoseph15@unfoldthesoul Not sure if you’ve already read the book or not. If so, you know how 🤯 the book is. If not, brace yourself. It’s 🔥🔥. I’ve read it twice and it’s actually better the 2nd time. Enjoy!!
#Equity and #Inclusion require equitable and inclusive mindsets, culture, and practices. Super interested in thoughts about practices or policies like this. How common are these practices? Are they good for kids?
We are over the moon excited to see all the inclusion accomplices tomorrow for Day One of the second annual Supporting Inclusive Practices - SIP Virtual Inclusion Conference!

Segregating Ss based on one single identity would not be tolerated, except for disability. IEPs/504 Plans can be docs of equalization/separation depending on org. cultures, policies, & practices. Weapons of good or not. Implicit/Explicit/Albeist bias, privilege & marginalization.
Determining LRE for students w/disabilities is NOT the same as creating meaningful inclusive environments rooted in authentic belonging, deepened relationships (peers/adults), & a true sense of community. Know the difference.
Felt it must be said...discuss.
