All who think coaches are making bank have no idea how poor and, in considerable cases, grossly UNDERPAID they are.

This ignorance comes from 2 main modes:

1) They are parents who pay a lot in club fees and [understandably] don't know the cost side of the club balance sheet, nor the time, energy, effort of coaches who get only a fraction of what comes in from these fees.

2) These parents are further brainwashed by the corrupt MLS/USSF media who take advantage and further stoke their ire towards youth pay-to-play. It's a deliberate tactic to keep the attention off the root of the problem - the professional game being monopolized.

Coaches should be paid for their time and energy - this should not be controversial.

And no, the extreme majority of coaches are not remotely making 6 figures.

Most all paid coaches are getting paid peanuts relative to their time, energy, and other jobs in the economy.

"At the end of the day it’s for the kids"

That can be said with just about anything.

So everyone working on products and services that go to kids should do that for free?

Should teachers work for free? Should daycare/babysitters work for free? Should toy manufacturers not pay their employees? Should pediatricians work for free?

@LethalSoccer Give kids off from Mid December-Mid January by eliminating all unnecessary scrimmages during the Holiday Season. Give kids a month to have a mental and physical break and resume Mid January with 2 allotted scrimmages and one tournament before District Season. It would do wonders
