Sprint through IAH to make a connection because @united tells you to hurry. Arrive at the gate and learn that the gate has known for 20 minutes that the plane is out of service...
Tried to fly into Austin on Tuesday. Reroute twice in the air because of thunderstorms. Once to Houston and then to San Antonio. Delayed until the following day due to crew issues and thunderstorms.
Rent a car out of pocket. Drive through a torrential downpour to make it to Austin in time for meetings.
Flights out of Austin are delayed. Tried to stand by on an early flight. Got called to board. Told a system glitch meant there were no seats. Wait for the original flight. More delays. Sit on the runway for like 2 hours until the crew times out.
Deplane. Rebooked a flight to EWR through IAH out of pocket because rebooking options in the app only provide flights that are 24+ hours later. Despite there being available seats for purchase...
Pay for a hotel out of pocket. $15 meal voucher at least though!!!
Wake up at 4 AM. Flight to Houston from Austin is delayed...
