My advice to anyone starting out:
Develop a very strong opinion about yourself.
Know exactly who you are & who you are not.
If you don't, random people will try to tell you who you are, and you might just start believing them.
I saw someone say the best thing you can do for yourself is to actively increase your surface area for luck to hit you. Go outside, travel more,go to new cafes, take a new route home, go to more 222
events. You can literally just do things, and the more you do, the more serendipity and synchronicity will find you."I've been thinking about that every day since.
Trading Places is the most accurate documentary ever made about how rich people view the rest of us.
Two old white guys literally bet a dollar on whether a Black man from the streets or a privileged white guy is “naturally” superior… and the entire system is just a game to them.
Synopsis:
Imagine two billionaire brothers so bored they bet on whether they can turn a successful white man into a criminal and a Black street hustler into a success… just for fun.
Then the two guys they destroyed team up and destroy them instead. That’s the entire plot of Trading Places and it’s still undefeated.

Be the guy.
Be the guy everyone is excited to see when he shows up.
Be the one who makes things fun, who raises the energy of the whole room, who breathes life into every interaction.
Be the guy who makes every moment special & makes everyone feel seen. Be the guy who makes the world a better place just from being who he is.
The gym and yoga saved me. I found hobbies that keep me grounded (hiking, gardening). I managed my money better. I became okay with being bored. I started limiting what I expose myself to (media, people, environments) & ultimately I just decided I wanted better for myself.
You gotta kill that fear of being seen because visibility is your birthright, people need to know you. In fact, think of showing up as putting out little signals that help your people find you. You’re not showing up for everybody, you’re showing up for your people.
Flirting isn't just about hitting on women you're attracted to. It's about being warm, playful, and open with people in general. Talk to the barista, joke with the bouncer, say something to the guy at the gym, smile at a stranger. You don't need an agenda every time you talk to someone. Make warmth your default. Men who move through the world like this naturally create more connection, more opportunities, and a lot more fun in their everyday life.
Keep your problems smaller than your life. A flat tire is a flat tire. A bad meeting is a bad meeting. A canceled flight is just an extra two hours. These things become catastrophes when you let them. But they stay manageable when you remember the depth of your real life- the people you love, the work you care about, the beautiful years still ahead. Zoom out. Fit your reaction to the size of the problem. You only live once.
