Long fingernails indicated high status and Queen Nenzima's gift of hers to Herbert Lang signified trust, since possession of part of a person's body conferred power on the owner.

BREAKING: Fake “Juice” Factory Busted in Badagry Lagos State — Two Women Arrested, Minors Rescued

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lagos State Command, has shut down an illegal juice factory in Aradagun, Badagry, after a raid on Monday, 21 September 2026.

Acting on intelligence about illicit production along the Badagry corridor, operatives uncovered an unregistered facility allegedly producing and distributing Barkas Juice without authorisation.

What was recovered

• Two female suspects linked to the factory
• Packaged drinks already loaded into containers for Lagos and neighbouring states
• Industrial sugar, untreated water, dyes, chemical colourants, synthetic adhesives and production machinery
Officers also rescued juveniles aged 15 and 16 who were allegedly used as labour at the site.

The suspects are being interrogated and will be charged to court once investigations are concluded.

If you cannot trace the factory, do not trust the bottle.

Two became CEO of GTBank.
Two became CEO of Access Bank.
Two of the four have left this world.

That is the story of four men who defined a generation of Nigerian banking: Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, now Chairman of Access Holdings, Segun Agbaje, Group CEO of GTCO, the late Herbert Wigwe of Access Bank; and the late Tayo Aderinokun of GTBank.

Tayo Aderinokun co-founded GTBank and led it as CEO until his death in 2011. Segun Agbaje, who had risen beside him, took the helm and still leads the group.

Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede and Herbert Wigwe acquired Access Bank in 2002, built it into a major African lender, and each served as CEO in turn. After Wigwe’s death in 2024, Aig-Imoukhuede returned as chairman.

All four reached the summit of their profession at the height of their powers. Two still shape the institutions they helped build. Two are remembered for what they built and for how suddenly they were gone.
